Has anyone done a third cleanse?

This weekend I want to use Wen Tea Tree for the first cleanse, Wen 613 for protein on the ponytail section for the second cleanse and Wen Fig for moisture under a shower cap for a few hours.

Will this be overkill?

I will enable you! do it!!!!!!!!! and tell us how it goes. I don't think there is anything such as too much WEN.

I wouldn't call that a third cleanse - you're using the Fig in place of ReMoist as a deep conditioner. I've done that with a cc before, works good. Let us know how it works for you.

Waterdragon, I will definitely try it this weekend. I wanted to make sure there were no overwhelming "NO! Don't do it" before trying!

Okie, I will definite post the results!

I love what Wen Tea Tree does for my scalp, so I really want to be consistent with using it.

Wen 613 is working miracles for my breakage and strengthening my hair.

Wen Fig gives me more moisture than ReMoist, but it doesn't last as long. Maybe I will add ReMoist to the shower cap stage.

Do you find that TT is drying to your ponytail section, or moisturizing? I personally find it to be drying, though many on here like it or even find it moisturizing. You might experiment to find this out. If it's drying, then you could save your TT by using it only on your scalp and using something more moisturizing on your ponytail.

I'm not saying "No, don't do 3 cleanses," I'm just saying that depending on how your hair likes these 3 CCs, there might be a way to combine everything into 2 cleanses and thus not "waste" any CC.

Also: why not mix the Fig and 613 together to leave in under the shower cap? That way you can have extended benefits of both?

Just a thought.

Finny, I've used Wen Tea Tree once and followed up with Wen Fig. I can't tell if it's drying on my hair. My scalp did back flips over Wen Tea Tree! I also didn't get the scalp i t c h i n g that I get from other CCs.

Also, when I have mixed Fig and 613 in the past, the results weren't good. They weren't bad, but they weren't good. I got the most awesome results from using 613 by itself. Because my hair almost went into protein overload (brittle), I will use 613 maybe twice a month.

I think the Wen Fig is the only one that I go through like water, since that is always used as a second/third cleanse and leave-in. Luckily, I got my 32 ounce today!

I am hearing more and more of you saying that you find tea tree drying. I use tea tree a lot and have had some issues with dryness. I keep blaming it on the other cc's I am using (seasonals). I am going to stop using tea tree for a week or two and see what happens. I am going to stick with Sam and fig and see of I can get moisture back in my hair.

Hilary, how do you use Wen Tea Tree? First, cleanse, second cleanse, scalp, ponytail, etc. Does your scalp i t c h or is it irritated? How frequently do you use it (times per week)?

I use it as a first cleanse on my whole head. My scalp feels great when I use it. It does seem more astringent than the other cc's. I don't really think that it is drying, but maybe not as much moisture as some of the other cc's. I'm just wondering if I can up the moisture in my hair by sticking to Sam and fig. I made find that I miss using tea tree and that it is more moisturizing than I think. I have just used it for a first cleanse for so long that I haven't really changed it up to find out. I think I have always liked tea tree because it makes my hair feel so clean. I'm just wondering what difference it will make in the moisture of my hair if I stop using it for awhile. I will post my results for this experiment.
