Thanks Hilary. I look forward to reading your results.
I used TT and Fig this morning. ""Clean"" is a perfect description for my scalp.

I love what Wen Tea Tree does for my scalp, so I really want to be consistent with using it.
Wen 613 is working miracles for my breakage and strengthening my hair.
Wen Fig gives me more moisture than ReMoist, but it doesn't last as long. Maybe I will add ReMoist to the shower cap stage.

You've been getting some great advice so I won't repeat what's already been said. But I will say you can use a bit of remoist as your leave-in.

Lately, I'm finding how I cleanse my hair is not as important as my styling/leave in routine.
I always do a double cleanse with a wheat, soy and rice based CC. I apply the CC ,to the length of my hair, in 3 sections. For the first cleanse, I rinse each section completely, but with the second cleanse I leave most of the CC in my hair.
Next, to each section I apply 1-2 pumps of SC mixed with 1 pump of GS followed by 2 pumps of CC mixed with 1 dropper of oil. After each section is complete and clipped up, I step out of the shower and apply 4 pumps of WEN mousse to each section.( I don't like applying mousse with wet hands ).
Finally ,to seal in moisture, I mix a some mongongo nut oil (helps to extend the style and protects hair from damage) with a little bit of Shea Terra African herbal repair butter (this butter helps to clump my curls together) and 1 pump of Pristine Beauty's no scary hairy hair and scalp serum ( it's organic and loaded with beneficial oils for the hair). Everything is applied in sections so the amount varies, but with my hair there's no such thing as too much product.
Edited to correct a case of cerebral flatulence.

Yes, Trojan, some awesome advice
I don't use Wen Fig ReMoist as a leave-in because it's $58.
I am finishing Wen Pom ReMoist, so I don't mind using that one.

That's a lot! Thanks, Sailor, for spelling that out for me. It looks way too advanced for my beginning stages of Wenning.

In all fairness, it could be because I haven't used the seasonals in awhile either. I will continue to experiment. On 1/23/2014 HonnyBrown said:I use it as a first cleanse on my whole head. My scalp feels great when I use it. It does seem more astringent than the other cc's. I don't really think that it is drying, but maybe not as much moisture as some of the other cc's. I'm just wondering if I can up the moisture in my hair by sticking to Sam and fig. I made find that I miss using tea tree and that it is more moisturizing than I think. I have just used it for a first cleanse for so long that I haven't really changed it up to find out. I think I have always liked tea tree because it makes my hair feel so clean. I'm just wondering what difference it will make in the moisture of my hair if I stop using it for awhile. I will post my results for this experiment.Hilary, how do you use Wen Tea Tree? First, cleanse, second cleanse, scalp, ponytail, etc. Does your scalp i t c h or is it irritated? How frequently do you use it (times per week)?

Hilary, thank you for the update. How does your scalp feel?

I could never do that with shampoo. I do cleanse daily because I like to. I think tea tree is really astringent on the scalp. I can see why a lot of Wenners use tea tree on the scalp and a more moisturizing formula like fig on the ends.On 1/25/2014 Hilary77 said:I have not used tea tree for several cleanses now. I did my third cleanse today.
TT first cleanse on my scalp
613 second cleanse on my hair
Fig under a shower cap for a few hours
It's too early to tell if I'm getting the results I want (I still have Fig in my hair).
On another note, I am seeing much less breakage!

I am not noticing that I have more moisture in my hair since I stopped using tea tree. My hair is pretty much the same as usual. I have been using Sam, fig, and lavender only. I think tea tree cleanses well and adds moisture and volume to my hair. If anything, this little experiment had made me appreciate TT more. I love that it gets my hair and scalp so clean. I do like the idea of using tea tree on the scalp with fig on the ends. I am going to use this combo more often. I love experimenting. Now, I just need to figure out a way to use the seasonals. It is so hard to resist the yummy scents. On 1/25/2014 HonnyBrown said:My scalp feels about the same. I don't really have a dry scalp, though.
