Over the years I find that I gravitate towards the lighter fragrances in colognes and lotions in summer - ones that smell like being outdoors or maybe florals, clean linens, and fresh air. And I enjoy wearing warmer fragrances that are deeper and heavier in the winter - like woodsy mossy fragrances. Scents that make you feel "warm" just smelling them. (does that make sense?)
That said, I don't like "food" fragrances any time of year and definitely don't want to smell like a pumpkin in the fall.
Do you also change your personal scents with the seasons? Or do you have one fragrance, or type of fragrance, you wear all year long?

I also prefer lighter, more citrusy scents in warm weather and warmer, spicier scents in the winter. I can't see me wearing my winter fragrance when it's 100 degrees here.

I like a light fragrance and use pure grace most of the time but I used to wear amazing grace.I have found that neither scent lasts anymore so I don't apply them as often as in the past.I remember the days when I would get asked regularly what scent I had on by men who thought I smelled amazing but now no one seems to notice or comment.

I wear mostly Guerlain. I think many of their fragrances can be somewhat heavy and strong smelling but applying a small amount has always been the way I've worn perfumes. I usually wear the same ones throughout the year. For me fragrance has no season. It is how you feel when you wear it.![]()

Mine tend to change with the seasons as well. A few I have used have been appropriate year-round. Most of the time I feel like a fragrance has a smell to it that I associate with a season, or warmer weather versus cooler weather.

Pure Grace and Falling In Love for me, I will use year round, however my richer, warmer scents I will start wearing in October or so. I live where we have 4 seasons, so in winter I definitely wear my warmer scents........

I wear the same fragrance pretty much year round but I live in the Southeast. We have seasons but our winters are not terribly cold.
I wear Chanel Chance primarily and Euphoria some days.
I do enjoy seasonal air fresheners and candles.
Citrus in summer, apple and spice & eucalyptus is fall & winter.

@dex you are right, no one notices anymore because they can not smell anything.....so diluted.

@tototwo, I do lean toward my jo Malone's Pomengranate Noir in the fall/winter as it is spicy/fruity. Sometimes I will spray it on in the summer to be different. I like my Laura Mercier's almond coconut more in the summer but will wear it in the winter. And, Jo Malone's Blackberry & Bay is nice for all seasons. Today it was in the 60's (hard to believe) when it was 85 the other day. If this continues with 60 degree days here and there, we will have an early Fall. I usually notice the change in the trees first.

Thanks for all your responses! I used to wear the same fragrance day in and day out, year-round. One day that scent (Oscar de la Renta) just seemed too heavy for the summer event...... and that led me down the road of wearing different scents for different seasons. Nice to read about the different scent preferences of others. Thank you.
