Today I cleansed with Fig then SOB, then 1 pump of SOB for leave in, 2 pumps SHP SC, 5 or 6 pumps of SHP Mousse, put it up in a microfiber towel for a few, took it down and ran a pick through my hair, then gently scrunched a little to get some waves back and tried very hard not to touch it (that's the hard part because it takes easily 2 hours to air dry). BUT my hair isn't very frizzy today! It was cloudy and not very hot, I'm not so sure how humid but I think it wasn't very humid today so I'm sure that helped. But still, yay!

I make my own RTM all the time whenever a new seasonal comes out. My absolute favorite was with the SOB cc, oil, & 613 styling creme. Smells crazy good. I don't spray it on my body, just my hair. My adult daughters always ask me to make up some for them as well, bc they also use it on my grandbabies hair in the morning.

Embrace it, instead of fighting it. Make it work.

I don't think it's so much that fig causes frizz as it is too much of it, at least for me. I can use fig straight up for several cleanses, then need to mix it with something. I think it has a lot to do with the humidity and how frizz-prone your hair is as well. Where I live, for the next 2 months, humidity is going down, temps up. Prediction is 105 next Sat - ugh.

I tell you what---no matter what shampoo and conditioner you use, if you can't get the frizz under control---you have to use something stronger. I found mine in Coppola Keratin treatment. NO MORE FRIZZ no matter what it's doing out there. I use the shampoo and conditioner that goes with this to keep it fresh, and out the door I go.

I know Chaz does not agree with this but I get a Brazilian blowout in the summer months. I have very long coarse thick curly hair. I have been using Wen for almost 3 years. The Brazilian blowout (get the one that lasts 2-3 months and does not eliminate your curl) Keeps my hair frizz free. It's a lifesaver in the summer. I get lots of compliments on my hair. I use the oils as a finishing product. Good luck!

I use and love WEN products for many things, but I long ago gave up on WEN styling products for frizz prevention. Here's a list of products that have worked for me now or in the past.
My current routine after I wash with WEN is 1 pump of WEN CC with 4 drops of WEN oil as my leave-in, followed by Curl Keeper. That prevents frizz on most days. On very humid days, I scrunch some Ouidad Climate Control or Curl Quencher gel over the Curl Keeper. That's all applied on soaking wet hair and then I blot dry with an old t-shirt and air dry or use a blow dryer with a diffuser bowl for 2-3 minutes, max.
Here are several things that have worked well for me:
Curl Keeper, by Curly Hair Solutions - I can only find this online, but for me it has been magical. Light hold and no frizz. Because I have wavy/curly hair, this one is my holy grail.
Climate Control Gel, by Ouidad - This one worked well for me and is even better if I use it over the Curl Keeper. Curl Quencher is another good Ouidad gel. Sephora carries it, maybe Ulta, too.
Set it Free, by DevaCurl - Can be found in Ulta stores and limited Sephora stores or beauty supply stores. This one can be heavier, so I'd only use this if you plan to wash your hair every day.
L'Oreal EverSleek Sulfate-Free Smoothing System Frizz Taming Creme Serum - one heck of a long name, but it worked well for me and is silicone free. It prevented frizz and did not leave my hair feeling weighed down.
Lotus Shield, by Avon - This also worked well to prevent frizz and I used it before I switched to the L'Oreal, which was cheaper, easier to get, and silicone-free. It says it prevents frizz for 3 days, but I didn't agree. Still, it did work well and I liked it. You can buy Avon online just like any other store without going through an Avon Lady representative, you can buy online and have it dropped off by a local Avon Lady, or you can find a local Avon Lady online and meet with her to purchase.

Whatever type of hair color that is being used on your hair could be the cause of your frizz problems too. I never had too much of an issue with frizz until I started seeing a new hairstylist. Whatever he has been using to color my hair is much more drying than the color I used previously.

If you don't want to wear your hair curly most of the time, and prefer a smoother, wavy look, and don't have an objection to another chemical process, I really would recommend a chemical straightening from a good stylist. Someone above does the Brazilian, and I have a Japanese (Yuko) process done, which leaves my hair with body, but no frizz--at least not until a lot of my roots grow in, but the weight of my hair helps to smooth that out.
I think perception of frizz varies along with perception of scent, but the solution depends upon the texture of your hair and the way you want it to look.
There are many good suggestions here--and I used to do curly girl stuff all of the time, but getting my hair straightened has saved me hundreds of hours of fooling around with my hair. It's not for everyone, but I absolutely love it, and my hair looks and feels really great--from the roots to the ends.
I have good hair habits, keeping heat to a minimum and using my WEN--and before that, other good products--but the WEN has been the icing on the cake. It definitely holds my color, and has simplified my routine. I thoroughly enjoy using it! I also love this forum.
