Gracie has taken over Lucy's bed. I guess I need to buy a new bed for Lucy. By the way, have yo noticed one poster who seems to be attacking everyone? Including you in one thread?? Wierd.

Makeup, could tell you stories about frozen school buses and my kid's toes slightly frost-bitten waiting for them! We are used to cold winters but this is the worst ever here too or close to it. They closed schools here as well last week. I didn't hear anything about tomorrow.

Yes, she is like an attack-dog. Acts like she is the authority on everything, and no ones' opinion holds any validity except hers. Hoping she finds somewhere else to be nasty and dismissive!

She reminds me if Sailor Gal from a few years ago. Very rude and mean unless you agree with her. Mom and dad have power! They bundled up and went to bed. Lol. I got them up, but they were thankfully still awake. Going to bed now.

Makeup, glad the folks got the power restored. Now you can sleep and not worry all night. I'm sure they were okay with you waking them. Did your mom figure out the phone?

Yep, there are some not quite right posters here, that's for sure.

You made me look, yep, Zoya is still offering spoons - who knew?

Desi, don't think we will have problems with out inside pipes and don't know why 2 neighbors had a problem with their outside pipes bursting, one I know, left the hose on when they went away for the weekend, hose on but shut off at the nozzle. The other, no idea, just burst and was summer for both.

Never cared for BE shadow, powder just doesn't work for me but I do have their new ready solid shadow, is okay but don't like the color I got in the kit. The only LG one I like is her baked Plum like it Hot, is also a solid you can use wet or dry and dry is okay for a shadow if you use a very light hand and wet is good for lining, stays fairly well.

Put Neosporin on DH knee and shin since he hurts when he bends his knee, cracks open again.

pepesmom, same here with our 3 dogs, only go out to go potty and right back in.

makeup, terrible about the poor little dog and sure hope someone found it and has it inside in this weather.

Keep all the furkids warm.

Doglover, I'm sure your pipes will be fine. You are home and if something did happen you'd catch it.

It's really, really cold and windy but sunny. My fingers are cracking, didn't put gloves on this week since I wasn't out long - my mistake.

Anyone seen the commercial with the 2 babies and a toddler girl bundled in snow-suits with their mom trying to get a photo? They are sitting on the ground in snow and keep toppling backwards after one falls back - it's very cute!

Hope you cats are okay but I think they will be.

Hi all -- It's 3 degrees here with sustained winds at 30+ mph making it feel like -30 -- blizzard conditions and can't see across the street. The Southtowns really got hit -- it started snowing there Monday and continued all day yesterday then moved a little north and we're getting it. Last night they said no unnecessary travel in all of Erie County and they're under a state of emergency. -- Thruway was closed as was Route 400 to the southtowns.

Desi -- didn't see the commercial you mentioned -- sounds cute. . DD works at a hospital and made it into work this morning as it was clear but very cold and it's not a long drive. Her husband works in the southtowns so they closed the bank at 4:00 and he got home about 5:30 and is off today too.

doglover -- We worry about our pipes too. We keep the cupboard doors open in the kitchen and vanity doors open in the bathroom. Went up to the attic today which is right next to our upstairs bathroom and snow had sifted in so I shoved a towel in the opening as best I could. Snow always finds a way in I guess especially when it's so blustery.

Saturday evening when DH took a shower he said the water wasn't warm. I called the plumber and, in the meantime, my neighbor came over. I thought maybe it was the pilot light but it was burning. The plumber called me back and said not to run anymore hot water until more hot water that I could be the thermostat or just unusually cold water coming in from outside. Thankfully, I had hot water the AM for a shower!

pepes mom -- Glad you like the Suave root lift; I may try it. I really need a haircut too; can't get down to my usual gal so will have to go someplace around here. Lots of hairdressers but hate to change. It's been 5 weeks since my perm and I just have to wash it more often.

Sounds like you're have the same frigid weather as we're having. The weekend here was pretty nice with warmer temps in the 30's. What a change!

Take care everyone; stay safe and stay warm!!

Re: Scents and Common Sense December 2014 thread, welcome and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Janet, glad DD made it safely to work as well as her DH. Everything is open here but there are problems. However, it will get warmer towards the week-end, we just have to hang-tight til then.

You got snow in the house, wow. We get frost on doors and windows, so far no snow.

Glad you got hot water, do you know how it started working again?

I did go out briefly. A warning. As I left TJ's, the outer doors had closed because I stepped aside to put on my gloves (learned from yesterday)! Then the automatic doors wouldn't open so I pushed one open - and the other one swung open and hit me! Just what my back and that hip needed. I kept going since it didn't knock me down, but I swear it's always something.

How cold was it? It was so cold, first the wiper fluid wouldn't work in my car, frozen. When I finally got the windshield area warm enough for it to work, it actually froze onto the windows everywhere the wipers didn't reach!

Watching NCIS. Is it me or is Abby more grown up since Ziva left? I'm liking her like this instead if the childish way she used to act.

Makeup, I watched it too. Abbey seems different, now that you mentioned it. Maybe it's to shift the flake-factor focus to newbie girl?

Watching "Intelligence" now. I could watch it even if the sound was off, lol!
