I mentioned this in another thread but I, of course, like everyone else, have not been to my hair salon since early March.  Usually have my hair colored every four weeks.  Roots come in about three weeks in but I hold off until four weeks.   Right now I probably have about one-half inch of grey roots.  But one side benefit I have noticed, is that my scalp looks and feels much healthier.  Only thing different I am doing or not doing is I am not having my hair colored.  Using the same shampoos and hair products I have been using for a while now, but scalp is not itchy at all.  Scalp just looks and feels better.

@naturalfan   Yes, that's a definite plus of not putting chemicals on your scalp. Mine is healthier, less dry, no flakes, no little tiny bumps a few days after color, etc. Uh, I only made it for two weeks before the silver shined brightly throughout.

When I quit coloring my hair a couple of years ago that was one of the benefits - no more irritated scalp.
