All of the awards "Gravity" took home last night, Ms Bullock must have thought she was a shoe-in for best actress. Holy cow she was devastated when they called Ms Blanchet's name.

I did not like at all that blue dress the woman wore from the "slaves" movie - did nothing for her. She did look stunning in that gorgeous red column gown from the Golden Globes however.

The most memorable moment for me was when Ms Jolie and Mr Portier walked out to present. The real moment was when the winner of the award they presented got up on stage and shook hands with the incomparable Mr Portier. He was truly awestruck when he looked into Sidney's eyes -- he could barely speak. Brought tears to my eyes.

I agree, that was very touching. You could see the total respect Angie has for him.

I happened to catch the 'In The Heat Of The Night' movie a couple weeks ago, that was fun to see again. I loved the series but the movie with he (Mr Tibbs) and Rod Stieger was excellent.

I agree they all looked beautiful. Gravity was okay, but Blue Jasmine was awful IMO! Not really the actor's fault, just boring and long.

The pros like Bullock, Blanchett, Cruz, and Theron really understand how to pull off the regal, understated, but still bombshell look.

You never see any of them overdoing it with make-up or jewelry. Just simple, classic silhouettes that have been glammed up just enough.

I thought Theron was beyond belief.

Charlize Theron is a goddess. Also down to earth, no discernible "ego."

OMG, she is gorgeous. She carries herself so wonderful. It is like old Hollywood. When she flows into a room, everyone drops. So many beauties this Oscar time! It was back to classic, old school glamour, with new school fabrics. It is so refreshing to see these beautiful gowns, than the cheesy, hootchie mama stuff they were wearing a few years ago.

I think she's so pretty, cute and pretty actually!

I like how people in the business call her "Sandy", just like she is a regular person.

I wish she would dress a little younger. I did not find the navy blue dress to be attractive on her unless it looked much better in person. Yes, her hair was pretty.

She's 49 and very appropriately dressed in my opinion. Absolutely stunning! And she doesn't appear to age. I would love to know what she's doing in that regard.

I think she dresses very appropriately for her age, and respect her for that! She looked like grown woman in a beautiful gown!
