Salux - OUCH!

Having read so many good recs for this item, I ordered and received mine last week.

I was very surprised to learn when I used it that it is so rough. Plus, you can't get those delicate places with it, so I have to use a regular wash cloth - which defeats the purpose of the Salux.

Is this wash cloth to be used every time I shower? I shower daily and quite honestly don't know if I can take it. I shower with a regular wash cloth every other day to give myself a break.

Does the Salux get softer?

I bought enough for gifting, but have reconsidered. It's much too rough for my liking.

Please give me your experience.
