Good evening ladies. For those of you that shop with Saks Fifth Avenue, do you happen to know when they have beauty sales?  I have been obsessed over this product for months but wouldn't let myself spend $82 on it since admittedly it is more about the component and impression on the product then it is the actual product itself... but I know I'll really enjoy it no matter how I use it.  I can't find it on eBay so I need to wait for a sale.

@monicakm  I would not buy any beauty products at Saks. If you try it and do not like it they will not refund on beauty products. I would rather pay full price and know that it is returnable.

Why not ask Sak's? They have a customer service live chat & phone number.

@monicakm  What a coincedence, I was just at my local Saks a couple days ago in the beauty dept. I'm new to this area and haven't been in a Saks in many years, such a beautiful albeit pricey store. Anyway, I was there for a foundation match and the lady doing my makeup told me they are having a promo starting 8/21. You have to spend $250.00 though and then get a $50.00 gift card that you can use on the spot. Not a great promo IMO. Funny too that you show this product because I just bought it today in a darker bronze color (I saw a video that bronzers for women in their 50's should be 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone) along with their contour bronzing brush. But, I bought it all on line at Bergdorf Goodman's because they gave me a 15% discount on anything I purchased on my first order for getting on email list. You will do better doing that. It was $82.00 but I got it for $69.70 and 15% off 2 other products I ordered. Just go to their website, scroll to the very bottom of the home page and you will see a place to sign up for it. 15% off everything on your first order. I hunt for these discounts to get the best prices and most only give you a discount on one item, but BG did the whole bag. Oh, and I got free shipping too!

Hi @monicakm

I wrote the below and realized that Dermstore RIGHT NOW has a 25% off promo with a code that applies to this brand (maybe the whole site), but I didn't see the bronzer.  So maybe check that out right away.

Original answer:

Honestly, I have not shopped for cosmetics at a regular department store in a while, but my understanding is that department stores never run discounts on cosmetics.

My understanding is that department stores lease the cosmetic counter space to the cosmetics companies, and the cosmetic companies control the prices and any sales.  This is the reason why cosmetics cost the same at all department stores, at least in my experience.

Cosmetic companies do run promotions in department stores, usually kits with many products for one price that maybe have cheaper packaging than if you were to buy the products individually.  The kits are usually available at Christmas and other holidays.  I have seen these often in brands like Lancome, Clinique, Estee Lauder, etc. -- they offer kits with several products that would cost less individually, but I haven't seen discounts of regular cosmetic products at regular department stores.

The only way I have been able to get discounted cosmetics at a department store has been at a discount department store (Century 21, for those who shop NYC) which still does not discount the products, but does give store credits where purchases hits certain numbers.  One can apply the credit to a future purchase.  Maybe that same day, but after.

Department stores and cosmetics stores may have loyalty programs that may allow you to obtain discounts, but I think cosmetics are typically excluded from department stores loyalty discounts.  Not sure.

If Saks has an annual sale, which I don't recall them having, they may have a promo discounts for cosmetics.  I have seen that at Nordstrom's.

I know some cosmetic stores will offer an entire line of products at 20% off or something like that, but I am just not familiar with this brand.  Cosmetic stores have a different sales model from department stores.

As I wrote in the first line, check out Dermstore RIGHT NOW it is offering a 25% off discount code that applies to Chantecaille.

So I would look for a special from this brand, not Saks, and maybe a cosmetics store.

Darn @KittySoftPaws , thanks for the heads up but they don't have the Chantecaille Sunbeam Cheek & Eye Shade.  Happy for you tho for getting your products for 15% off Smiley Happy

@Janey2

I know I won't be returning it.  I can tell I like the product.  I like the line, even tho my purchases from them are very limited and I'm buying it as a collector item as much, if not more than, for use.

@ahoymate

I'll do that if I don't purchase it from Poshmark.
