I'm 55 and the jowls are starting to sag. Saw on u-tube that it you gently hit your face with the back of your hands this helps to bring blood to that area, stimulate it and lessens the amount of sag.

Help...have any of you tried anything that worked for you for sagging jowls that is not too expensive? Thank you.

If you're a TCM watcher, you will have seen this demonstrated in several movies, ala Ros Russell. An old wives' tale, I don't know, but it was a technique our mothers & grandmothers used!

When I was very young, I remember watching a beauty segment morning show where they suggested this.

Can't say for sure what works, but I've done this off an on over the years, along with neck & jaw stretches and always give a little extra attention to the jaw (& neck) area when I massage in moisturizer. I think I can say that I've maintained my youthful contours.

Short of the surgery, what else can you possibly do but stimulate the underlying muscles and counteract gravity with those stretches and/or manually lifting w/ facial massage or even massaging w/ a gadget.

If done every day, you can ward off sagging. But I don't see how you could reverse things if you already resemble a sharpee.

Facial flex really does work. Two minutes twice a day!
