Re: Sad truth about Olive Oil Scrub

My suspicion is that, like charity, protecting the environment begins with small steps you take within your own personal environment and I do that - in no way do I attempt to avoid every single possible pollutant.

I doubt anyone does that because the same people who will go out of their way to avoid microbeads may flush throwaway make-up towels which do not deteriorate in the sewer system and the grocery shopper who rightly carries reusable bags into the store may have gotten there in a huge SUV.

Each of us needs to do some things; none of us will do all of them.

Philosophy is not on the cruelty free list. So add the rabbits and Beagles that suffer at their hands.

Re: Sad truth about Olive Oil Scrub

I remember first reading about these plastic beads in cosmetic products.

I admit I had NEVER thought about it, as most of us probably didn't.

I was really shocked!

Glad for this reminder so I can avoid them. I believe the article I read said that most companies have agreed to find a substitute for them. Who knows?
