Think I posted this before but as part of another thread so wanted to share for everyone to see.

I've had a lot of sun damage on my lower lip and used to have to get it "frozen" every month with liquid nitrogen. The skin would thicken and grow... it was pre-cancer and literally a few days after my lip healed from the freezing, this cycle would repeat. It was awful.

Finally my NEW dermatologist told me when she was an intern, a leading derm who supervised her photographed her mouth and warned her she had severe damage on her lips, and said the best way to protect them was to wear pigmented lipstick. No gloss, it must have pigment. She has done this, is now 50ish, and she passed this along to me. Since then I've religiously worn lipstick (all year round).

Now having followed this advice for a full year, my lips are the best they've been in many years. I also put vaseline on at night before bed per her advice. No thickening, no growth, smooth lips. No more freezing. So beauty and health can go together!

Just wanted to share.
