STO: Moroccan lava clay question

I have a question for Sailorgal or anyone else who uses the Moroccan lava clay. I received mine a few days ago and it came in different size chunks. I tried mixing with rose water and cannot get it to form a paste. It stays runny and chunks don't mix in. Is it supposed to come in powder form? I will also call customer service however was curious if you had any info or tricks to get it to form a paste. I am so excited to try this!!!
