I am wondering if any of the STO fans have asked why they are using lye (potassium hydroxide) in their facial products? Let me start by saying I am a fan of the company and just received a large order of over 10 different products from them. Most of my products are very nice, but I was disappointed to read on another thread about their African Black Soap containing lye.
So I looked at the ingredients for the two facial cleansers I have (which were sold to me after I called and told them I have sensitive skin/rosacea) and they have lye in them too. I have the Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleaner and the Argan Wild Honey Facial cleaners. Both contain lye and I am scratching my head as to why they would put it in something going on your face.
Has anyone asked them? Or is this not a concern?
