Re: ????? SOME TIME FOR QUESTIONS ??????

Hi Shanus, I'm looking for a pencil eyeliner (I had purchased Tarte, but it was too thin) which stays put, but doesn't need scrubbing to remove. I don't like a thick line, nor a very thin line. I've tried the Mally eyeliner's, and they are bulletproof. I do like their staying power, but I'm looking for some thing a little more water soluble when it's time to take it off. Any suggestions?

Re: ????? SOME TIME FOR QUESTIONS ??????

@Effie54   Hello. My go to liner is Urban Decay 24/7 pencils. They are soft enough to work with, waterproof and give a great tightline, smudge between lashes or line upper lid close to the lashes. They also come in many colors. I prefer Sailor which is a dark navy. There are also greys, browns and of course black. You can venture into purples, etc. too.

@Shanus  Thank you for the great suggestion. That's what I'm going to use. I love the blue liners; sailor sounds perfect. This is exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks!!

Re: ????? SOME TIME FOR QUESTIONS ??????

@Shanus  I have moist eyelids and am not successful with eye shadow. It always ends up in the crease. Also, mascara will be black smudges on eyelid within 30 minutes. I have short sparse eyelashes. How to prep eyelids before applying any eye makeup?

Re: ????? SOME TIME FOR QUESTIONS ??????

@Hilery   I've found that waterproof eyeshadow sticks in a light neutral tone make the best base for shadow. If you give them a few minutes to set, they will not crease. Of course they also come in many beautiful shades at all price points if you choose to use them as shadows instead of a powder.

@Shanus @i would appreciate recommended brands. I have droopy eyelids and have been advised that I am not candidate for Medicare eyelid surgery as I am only at 85%. I suspect this contributes to the moist eyelid issue.

@Hilery   I use Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier. I think they offer the best shades of shadow sticks and quality for the money.

@Effie54 , thought I would mention I just received the Laura Gellar Inkcredible liner set she had a special on last week.  I haven't worn these yet, so can't say how well they stay on the eyes or if they go on well along the waterline, but I did put a small line on my hand just to see how it went on.  Several hours later I looked down and saw it was still there even with some rubbing.  However, it came off easily with a wet finger, so should come off easily.

I have other liners of hers that I got a long time ago and still use although they are now beginning to get dry and more difficult to apply.  The Kajals are really too thick for my purposes although I can use them on my lower lash line.

Another option is to use a damp angle brush and a dark eyeshadow, but that might be too thin a line.
