I decided to go though that entire drawer and discarded all the ones where the elastic was ratty and/or they just didn't look so good any more. Fortunately there was no need to purchase more beause I was able to replace all the old ones with new ones from my backup supply. Today I'm tackling bras, camisoles, and sleepwear.
I'm not the only one who has a backup supply of undies!!!
Absolutely not. I have backups for almost everything. Whenever I'm self-analyzing myself, I question why I'm so aftaid that I'm going to run out of something or not have what I need when I need it. Whatever the reason, it's time to stop stockpiling and use that excess.

We too have been cutting back on everything. I figured out about 5 years ago that jewelry just keeps going in and out of style so all the really good gold I bought years ago is in at one time or another. I also cleared out all the excess clothes we had, and now buy only things that I have,it is amazing what I thought I "needed".
I have a Solara that is 14 years old, can't find anything I truly want to replace it with, so we will pay the money for the repairs next week.
We are now retired but do so much that we couldn't do if we had not saved. Turn saving into something you get the same high from that you used to get from shopping. I love looking at what I can save. My only weakness is buying things for the only two granddaughters we have, that is changing since they now are getting older and everything is costing more that they like. We are now putting money into savings to take them on some trips with us over the summer.
The most important thing for us was the idea that we will need the money because the insurance in this country (medicare) is only going to get worse and we will need to be able to pay for much of this for ourselves if we need care, which comes to us all.
My mother used to say There is need and there is want, learn the difference.

It's just that some have no will power, I guess. I know if I watch shopping channels I'd be in serious debt. I only watch when I KNOW I'm gonna buy and that's only one seller I'm interested. It's hard because when they show things you think WOW! I'd love to have that. So what happens, we buy it when we really don't need it. I get it.

Discovered an awesome facial cleanser at a great price quite by accident...Hubby started to get very dry skin at 56 and also has a bit of an irritation on both cheeks from wearing a c-pap mask at night.
I noticed the other day that his face has started to look much better and had less dry skin, etc. He told me that he loved that new facial cleanser I have in the shower and he had started using it. Well, he was using my Olay Sensitive Skin body wash. He didn't know it was body wash since it says it has a bottle of moisturizer in each bottle and the words body wash are at the bottom of the label.
So, I started to try it myself and it's fabulous. Doesn't leave any film on facial skin, my face looks great, and it has no scent. Best of all is price. About $5.00 for 24 ounces. Not sure how it would be about taking off makeup but, I have been using it at my morning shower anyway. That is a real money saver over using the Neutrogena foaming facial wash stuff I was using.

My journey started this week, first I have to get this house cleaned & then tackle the organization
I did get a thorough clean to one bedroom, bathrooms & kitchen (rugs, floors, dust)
This coming week I will tackle the paper piles, THIS IS MY PROBLEM area, but I am determined
Then my "dump" extra bedrooms, just wish it was warmer here, so cold to go into those closed door bedrooms
For me, to simplify & spend less I need to be organized, then I will feel more in control, I am sure some understand....like others say shop your own stuff and when your own stuff is organized you can see what you have & not look on the floor, oh, where is it, in what pile? in what drawer? LOL

LOL, this really did make me laugh out loud. Thanks for the morning laughter.
Can't believe I've still not watched QVC. Amazing for me as it was always a part of my daily ritual. This break-up so far has been very painless.
Have a Great Day All
