If you use Serious Skincare products I have a question for you. I have never used Serious Skincare before and want a good kit to try. I am older and have been looking at the C restore products and the evolve face serum. Very confusing. Where is a good place to start? Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I love their entire c line. Very gentle. I have normal to dry 59 year young skin. The cleanser is amazing in its self.

Oh my goodness I adore SSC. There acne line saved my skin and I am now combining that with retinol (as I am in my 20s and trying to fight aging before it starts).

For you, it really depends on your skin type. Since you said you were older I'd recommend either the following:

Reverse lift (purple bottle line): Saggers and Droopers- those with extremely sagging skin, deep wrinkles and deep nose to mouth lines (think turkey neck).

Serious C (orange bottle line): "Over 40s"- those with less dramatic fines lines and wrinkles by the eyes, the 11's between the brows and less deep wrinkles, also those that have dull skin.

HSN has fantastic kits available. I'd always recommend a kit with a cleanser, serum and moisturizer at a minimum. Both lines above have great creams and other add on's. I know many older women who also love the Peptide line, and Insta-firm line. Insta-tox has a cult following (seriously though, the product is amazing for almost-instant wrinkle eraser). Like I said all depends on your needs. I'd recommend starting with a basic reverse lift or vitamin c line and then figuring it out from there. Do research and look at reviews too! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Retinol or the Vit. C kits. Everyone over 20 should be using some kind of retinol product. Dr. Graf, on HSN, and SSC both claim theirs are time released formulas. I'm using Dr. Graf only b/c the products are very reasonable and they are the same as she sells in her dermatology practice. That said, I did order the SSC Vit.C duo w/pads and C cleanser since I am trying to incorporate a fast way to get Vit.C into my skincare regimen.

If you are an ingredient snob, best to read them before buying, SSC often does not use stellar ingredients.

I actually like many of the SSC products. I especially the cleansers: A, C, reverse lift, and the olive oil (winter). The reverse lift eye cream is really good. I do think you have to stick with any product to see any results, which I have done with SSC for a pretty long while now. I'm 62 and I think my skin looks pretty good and most people think I'm younger than my age.

I only like the glycolic gommage in the Serious line. The creme riche had a wonderful texture. Nothing else that I have tried has done anything noticeable for my skin. But I did notice that the cremarum Evolve ate through the nozzle of the dispenser it was in!

Paula's Choice, philosophy and skinn all have straight vitamin C products that you can add to any serum or moisturizer. I have both the Paulas choice and the philosophy, the latter being a liquid and the other being a powder.
