My T-zone is terrible and I've tried many things to make the oil stop. Clarifing liquids nothing helps.
Heat and humidity are my sworn enemy. Can't keep my glasses up.
How do I just make the oil from coming out??
P.S. I'm 74 years old

IMO, Stop using drying cleansing and treatment products. They actually encourage more oil production. Use products for normal skin. There will likely be an adjustment period until things normalize but just stick with it. You might try blotting papers or dust with powder to absorb the oil until your oil production normalizes.

Morning ! I hear you . I will be 60 soon . I still have oily, acne prone skin and Oily T zone. I live on the East Coast . First thing I have to do in the spring is lighten up skin care . Even though my products are never heavy I go even lighter . I switch to a gel cleanser and moisturizer and a sheer sunscreen . During the winter I just rinse my face with water in the am, but during warmer weather I just use cleanser in the AM on my T-zone . I do put the lightest amount of powder on my nose and forehead .I lso feel with our skin type less is more . I know many women love primers , bronzers etc. I find the least amount of layers the better . Hope this helps

Oil dissolves oil. Try the oil cleansing method. Castor should be part of your cleanser. There are other oils that are especially good for "oily" skin: hazelnut for one; the method recommends sunflower.
(from Garden of Wisdom) [Hazelnut] tones skin while also encouraging cell regeneration of damaged and aging skin. Hazelnut oil is slightly astringent, making it good for use on oily and acne-prone skin. It tightens skin and helps maintain firmness and elasticity.

I like DHC cleansing oil and have gotten good results from that.

I have glasses and an oily nose too. I've found that Setex nose pads ("gecko grip") work well. though they last only 2 or 3 weeks before the adhesive wears out. You can order them on Amazon.

Start by trying out a different cleanser and use it for at least a month or so. That's about how long it takes for skin cells to 'adjust'. Do not cleanse with hot or very warm water. The cooler the water the better.

@Auntie CC , I used to have oily skin too. Now it's normal. The one main thing I've learned is NOT to use too drying products that may have salicylic acid and other ingredients for acne. What happens, is the skin on our face actually goes into over drive, and produces more oil. What I found helped normalizes the oiliness was a cream cleanser, and a non drying toner. I liked Shiseido for those 2 products. But there are others at the drugstore too. Use non-stripping products, and do a thorough cleansing morning and night.
I still had somewhat oily skin, on the t-zone, but it was controllable. The harsher products can send the skin into overdrive.

My T Zone is not only oily but also ever since hitting menopause I've been more acne prone. I started using PanOxyl and it has really worked for me. I use CeraVe Am and PM but I do not apply in T Zone area. That would make it worse for me.
