I think the cost of your office visit entitles you to one phone call about the moisturizer. The phone person can pass your question to her and return your call. I have been using Paula's Choice Clinical Redness Relief for about a month. It seems to be working, but the jury is still out.

Thank you, one and all! Yes, I believe I will make a call to the derm. I hate to bother them and usually it takes forever to get a return reply. But, I am very uncertain as to which way to turn. I don't want to do or use the wrong thing. So far, I am not seeing any improvement, but its only been a few days. At least its not any worse. I am trying to be positive.
I did not know that Ceravie made a sunscreen. I will look this up.

Hello, great advice and ideas!
Last year after our bad winter, I was diagnosed with three types of Rosacea. Like the original poster, I was in shock. ALways had the toughest skin that could withstand just about anything. Now learning to deal with super sensitive skin that reacts to everything! I was already super dry, and this combination has been very depressing frankly. The good news is that through trial and error I have found some great things. First, my dermatologist is great! I use Ziana gel and aczone. Ziana combines retin A and an antibiotic- have had great success with that product.
One of the posters stated that once you find something you should stick with it- that is great advice, unfortunately I am very bad at wanting to try everything! You won't know what's working if you make too many changes at once. I cleanse with an oil cleanser- many work but I find argan oil and rosemary oil work great. Anything really mild without sulfates works good- I just can't wash for long.
I use JM argan oil and argan milk and add some boosters as my skin allows. I seal everything in with a seabuckthorn balm at night- which is very healing. The best non-reactive foundations I've found are IT CC Cream and BM Serum. I use colloidal silver for my itchy eyes and as a toner for my face- works great at healing and reducing the eye irritation.
My skin looks better than it has in a long time- stick with it, don't give up hope and go slow. You'll find a routine that works for you.
Ps-I do believe a BIG contributor to my original condition was the use of the TATCHA exfoliating powder. Fell in love with the line, but didn't recognize that my face DID NOT like the powder. Be careful if you use the powder and you might want to eliminate it if you find your skin is sensitive- especially in the winter.
