Rising Star" on ABC (6/22)****, <p>Anybody watch it? It was better than I thought. Josh did a great job for hosting live. The judges were not to crazy. My hair is in LOVE with it! The curls are so soft and bouncy, it's got a nice shine, the color has been restored and it's manageable. This Nick Chavez Traditions Yucca shampoo and conditioner is most DEFINITELY a keeper. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

I doubt it's ""live"" on the west coast. Never is.

Josh Groban is the host. I watched a couple of the singers then turned it off

I usually love shows like this but it was way too drawn out for me. I had recorded it so fast forwarded all but when they sang. There were a few good singers. I don't know if I will be watching anymore until the finals.

I watched it and the jury is still out for me. I liked it okay but so far I'm not sure if I will stick with it to the end. I adore Josh Groban but I was not crazy about the judges or the way they behaved, especially Kesha and Ludacris. So whether I will continue to watch or not depends on if I remember to watch it next week and if it draws me in a bit more. Right now it's one of those take it or leave it shows for me. I'm an American Idol and The Voice fan but this isn't nearly that entertaining to me. Hopefully it will get better in time.

I didn't really like it. The judges were kind of silly with all the jumping up to hit the yes button of their fellow judges voting thingy, the pace was really slow and the set was just really bad. Too much going on with the wall of pictures and the lack of set lighting left all these pools of darkness.

I doubt I will watch it again and I am a huge Brad Paisley fan. I'm not sure they even clearly explained how the show works - they said these were auditions, but auditions for what? Some kind of top 10? How will singers be eliminated in the future? Maybe I missed the explanation? I guess it just didn't grab my attention. The best moment of the night was when that 16 year old boy thanked everyone after he was eliminated - very classy.

I saw a preview & it did not interest me at all. Not even the judges or host.

That makes one. OP is the first person I've heard say something good about the show. The consensus seems to be that with just a couple of exceptions, the talent isn't very good and the format is long, drawn out and boring.

I think it is trying to be modern by letting the audience control the voting; by letting the audience interact and control the winner.

I don't know if the American public is ready for something like this! It won't keep my my attention, that much I know.
