Revlon Buttercream

I am about to place an order on drugstore.com. Normally I use Perfect 10 in Medium Brown which makes my hair a dark brown, but I have seen lots of posts about how good the buttercream is, so I wanted to try it. I was thinking of doing burgandy, but I am scared of getting "hot roots." Perfect 10 never gives me hot roots, color is neutral. However, I have used Feria in medium brown and it did give me hot roots.

Any advice?
