Review: No7 Lift & Luminate Finishing Powder

I have been using this every day for the past two weeks, and I don’t think I will ever use another finishing powder.

Pros:  Very finely milled; slightly blurs pores and leaves skin looking soft and luminous; does not cake; beautiful packaging and affordable (although it is rather expensive for a drug store brand)

Cons:  Shade range is limited; no puff or sponge included

This beats every finishing powder (high end or drugstore) that I have used.  I purchased the shade “light” and it is very light.  I am fair, and this powder may be too light for me in the summer months.  Right now though, it matches my skin perfectly.

A review I read on this powder compared it to the Charlotte Tilbury finishing powder.  I haven’t tried that one, so I can’t  comment, but this powder is truly lovely and feels luxuriant on the skin.

Anyone looking to try a new finishing powder might want to consider this one. 😊.   I am definitely going to purchase a couple backups.

Yes, that’s it 😃.

I wanted to add...I don’t know how much Amazon is charging for this powder.   But, I noticed Walgreens is having BOGO50% off on No7 - if there is anything else you need from that line)

@Swedishmiss

This sounds really lovely!  What do you use to apply?  I have been looking for a light finishing powder that is not cakey.  Thanks!

@AngelPuppy1  I have tried using a brush and a powder puff.  I like the puff best 😊

@Swedishmiss

Thank you!  I'm glad you told me because I often don't have good results when I used a brush to apply powder!!!

Re: Review: No7 Lift & Luminate Finishing Powder

This sounded promising until I found the ingredients. Unfortunately, my skin just cannot handle silicones. It so hard to find makeup without them.

For those that are interested, here are the ingredients: Talc, Dimethicone, Zinc stearate, Diisostearyl malate, Silica, Dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, Sodium potassium aluminum silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylparaben, Caprylyl glycol, CI 77891 (Titanium dioxide), CI 77492 (Iron oxides), CI 77491 (Iron oxides), CI 77499 (Iron oxides).
