Happy new year everyone! We may plan today, but not necessarily comply for the next 365 days, I'd love for everyone to share their resolutions and intentions for 2016. Go.....

I think I just start out every day not so much with a "resolution" but just this is a new day-hello day!

and I do wear pajamas all day whenever I feel like it. My grandcat doesn't mind.

Re: Resolutions

[ Edited ]

I work at home.  I work in my PJs nearly every day in the winter. In the summer I wear sundresses. When my work day is over I take a shower and put on fresh PJs.

No one I know every stuck to and kept any resolutions they said they were making beyond a couple of weeks so it's just ridiculous to actually make any.  None for me!

I used to make all kinds of resolutions -- eat better, go on a diet, exercise all the time, don't shop so much, etc., etc., etc.  Then, I'd get so upset with myself and feel so bad, as one by one, I failed at each and every one!  I just can't put myself through that any more!  Too much stress..... Smiley Frustrated

The only thing I have on my mind right now is that I want to try and be better at not letting everything and everyone get me upset.  I am a very highstrung person & it's not a good way to live.  I also want to try (key word -- "try") and quit letting myself be a doormat so much.  It's not okay to say and do hurtful things to people and then when you don't say anything to defend yourself, they think it's okay to keep treating you that way.

So, these are things I have in my head right now!  Wish me luck!!!

I'm going to get back to exercising.  I need to lose seven pounds and build up my muscles again.  I've started taking 45-minute walks down by the ocean at least every other day.  I have basically a home gym in the form of treadmill, Total Gym, and HSN's mini trampoline, so I have plenty of opportunity to exercise.  I love to walk and feel so good when I'm on the return leg of my walk in the sun.  I also want to cut down on carbs because I eat a lot of bread and pasta.

I think not being a doormat is the most important one.  While I didn't state it, this is one I would love to overcome.  I also let everyone's problems become my own and I am trying to recognize where I can help as opposed to taking it over for them, if that made sense. I am a bit too sensitive. Smiley Very Happy Good luck!!!!!!
