Rediscovering: Elizabeth Arden

I have used Lancome makeup and cosmetics for many years. I always felt like the foundation was not quite right in color and coverage. I would try other foundations for Q and others. So after searching I tried EA. I read so many reviews on Macys Dillards and Nordstrom etc

I am a Medium, yellow undertone and reddness. I have dry skin.

I am really liking: Ceremide Lift and Firm Foundation. Its in a jar so a little messy with finger application. The coverage is buildable. The real coverage comes from the  cream compact called Flawless Finish.

I got samples of ceremide capsules and superstart booster. Both are serum.

@granddi  I have dry skin and love EA Flawless Finish mu!

It is a good 'winter' foundation since  summer here is very humid.

My Nana was one of the first makeup artists trained and hired by EA herself back in the 1930's; she traveled North America and Europe for EA events until she was in her 70's

She always used EA products and taught me the importance of good skincare at a young age.

Her own skin was like a rose petal and'lit from within'; you have to be born w/a complexion like that. Her mother also had it as well as her 5 sisters.

I had used the ceramide night cream, in gold jar(I don't remember the  name) and it was very good.  I tried a few other products and pretty much liked them.

@granddi   I had my first facial at Elizabeth Arden in downtown Chicago.  I hated it.  The Tech placed so much creams on my face before I left, I could not wait to get home and take it off.  the next day I broke out.  For me it was NEver AGain.

I have never tried their makeup but if it works for you that is all that counts.  It is difficult to find the right color, texture, coverage. However, my hair stylist worked there and I bought a $800 dress for next to nothing on sale for my honeymoon back in 1981. Cat Wink
