On some people you will notice that red (or any dark color) accentuates the lack of lips they have. Maybe they're going for the thin lipped look.

I say whatever makes you happy.

Red lips and red clothing can be worn by anyone of any age. However, there are many shades of reds to choose from.

Red with a blue undertone is a cool color. Red with a yellow/orange color is a warm color.

Is your skin tone cool or warm? You will need to know this before you choose a color of red.

Most people can wear a pink cherry red as this color tends to be neutral. If red does not look good on you, you are wearing the wrong color of red.

If you are weaing a red lip, tone down your eye makeup. You will look like a clown if your eyes and lips are both bold and striking.

If your eye make-up is bold, wear a neutral lip color. If you are of a certain age, lips shuld not be too glossy...semi-gloss is best. Matt color can make your lips look too dry and make you look older and harsh.

Good luck with your sexy red lips! Ooo la la

I love red lipstick. I'm almost 70 years old. I don't give a @#$% what anyone thinks about anything I do.

I try real hard not to embarrass my family and grandchildren. Other than that I do what I want to, go where I want to go and buy what I want. You only go around once people.

If you're hung up about what color lipstick you or someone else wears, you're in trouble.

Are people wearing signs that say "I'm over 40 - is this OK?"

Honestly, who cares what age you are?!{#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

My mom is 92 and asked me to buy her a new lipstick. I got her the Almay Butter Kiss that I love in the red for light skin tones. Looks fantastic! And like all Q watchers who are over 50, she "doesn't look a day over 42---EVERYBODY tells her so!" Seriously, the reds in that line are very nice. Not long lasting, but less dramatic looking while still giving a nice red to the lips.

Yes, you can wear it. I wear a sheer red color called Monte Carlo by Chanel. Its in their Coco Shine collection which are sheer lipsticks. I just love it. Its not an orange red its more of a cranberry red. I'm a fair skinned brunette in my 50's and it looks gorgeous on me. Its not aging at all. You have to find the right color. I love Chanel lipsticks & have been buying them for over 20 years. They run about $35 but they last a very long time because you don't have to keep reapplying them and they never change color.

I think that women of any age can wear red lips.

But, I think it is aging if your teeth are not white and have a yellowish cast.

So, either whiten your teeth or rock a slightly "bluish" red instead of a tomato red.
