I'm glad that you found one that works for you. I noticed you said that this one has Retinol, which I cannot use. Thanks!

@AngelPuppy1 YW! Good luck with your search. It's so overwhelming with all the options out there.

Re: Recommendations needed for a liquid or cream foundation that.....

@AngelPuppy1 I recently ordered Re-nutriv by EL. I did try a sample and it may be too thin and watery but I've ordered it anyway. It 's also very pricey. Lady at EL counter said they were selling a lot of it.

I had about a third of a bottle of Double Ware and have been experimenting with adding (thus diluting) mositurizer (the Clinique yellow stuff). This might be an option. The results were not bad.

I got a sample of the new MAC Radiance but it too is thin and had no coverage.

I'm at the point now of moisture + concealer+primer then foundation then a blush and then a setting powder. Lookin' good is a lot of trouble.

I haven't read any of the other suggestions so if this has already been mentioned, I'm sorry. Almost 65... yuck, I hate odd numbers... but with no wrinkles. My complexion is very very dry, but I apply a lot of hydration and some moisturizer plus primer before I put my foundation on. My favorite everyday Foundation is Nars light reflecting Foundation. I think it's $49. My favorite luxe foundations are Lancome Tient Idole and Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting. It sounds like what you are looking for is a natural finish. The Nars foundation will definitely give you that. The Shiseido is just a touch more radiant. Nothing super shiny or glowy. I don't care for those so I wouldn't buy something like that.,

Thanks! As I've gotten to be so much older, my facial issues are much worse, but I don't have the energy or patience to do a lot of steps! I know there is no magic bullet, so to speak, but I just wish I could find a product or two that I was reasonably happy with! Still searching....

Thanks for the suggestions you presented! I would like to try a little bit less expensive if possible.

So true. When I get a great makeup look, it's really satisfying. When nothing lays down like I want it to, it's like somebody hurt my feelings. I may not be pretty to most people but I want to look pretty for myself 😉

I have to side with @Dazlin on the Revlon illuminance. I bought the #213 light natural when @Dazlin first posted her review. I thought it might be a little dark for me so I gave it to a friend who at 45 has JUST showed an interest in makeup. It looks great on her and out of the two I gave her, she wears the Revlon more often so there ya go... it's a nice foundation and not pricey.
The Revlon site gives a better understanding of colors and undertones than anywhere else. The 213 isn't too dark for me, it's too warm. Hope that helps.

This makeup is definitely on my list now! I am really fair but not pasty and warm shades do not generally speaking look great on me.
