Re: Recommendations for a Waterline Eye Pencil?

@SurferWife , I was fan of Urban Decay until they jacked up prices...I took a chance based on reviews and purchased 2 NYX eye pencils...there Sooooo good!  No problem,  stays on waterline.  No accumulation in corners.  I have a Laura's Geller plum pencil that does nothing...won't even go on!  That will be replaced by NYX in a deep plum shade.  I ordered these from Amazon...I can buy 4-5. ..for the price of one Urban decay.   I used to use Mac too...no more.

@Dazlin

Would you mind being more specific on the exact name/type of the NYX you use?

I searched on Walmart and there were many varieties...and different names.

(I don't do Amz)

I was getting UD at Ulta with coupons, but still way more than you stated for NYX.

I've been experimenting with drug store brands recently myself in an effort to reduce by beauty spending.  I've seen NYX, but wasn't sure how good the line might be.  I've bought a few e.l.f. products and so far love everything I've purchased.  I'll have to check out NYX as well.  Thanks for the recommendation!

Those YT'ers...they make everything look so easy!

But how does it hold up?  Same for a lot of makeup products...how does it look 4-6-8-10 hours later.

I've got a "smoldering black" eye pencil from Loreal that I bought from Amazon years ago.   Looked great when I tightlined with it but it had the problem of transferring.  I don't have watery (for the most part) eyes or oily lids but nothing lasts on my upper or lower waterline all day.

I use a gel liner on the top waterline and it stays all day. I have Mally's brand and Skinn and Laura Gellars too. Gel seems to be my go -to

Re: Recommendations for a Waterline Eye Pencil?

@SurferWife , I had NYX lip liner pencils, and I didn't like them at all...they rolled, pilled...tried two , wound up throwing them out.  So actually, I was hesitant about the eye pencils,  but reviews were great...and they really surprised me.    Ill add, I ordered LA girl lip pencils,  and it's GREAT TOO!!

@SurferWife I have not tired the product Dazlin mentioned, but I have been happy with the NYX products I have tried.

I love the Nars gel eyeliner. It goes on super smooth and stays put. It’s not a cheap eyeliner though, about $24 in the Nars website. But worth it!

Re: Recommendations for a Waterline Eye Pencil?

I've never had any luck lining my actual waterline. And it does seem that as soon as I start putting makeup on my nose starts to run and my eyes water more, and that is before I even put any eye makeup on, so it's not that.  I do line inside the lashes on my lower lash line, but I do it right at the lash line.  If I were to line beneath the lash line, it would look like raccoon eyes and would make my eyes appear even rounder than they already are.
