For those of you who may be looking to lose some weight here I started 2 things about 2 months ago and have so far lost 18 pounds! I read up on the web about sluggish thyroid problems and all the symptoms fit me to a tee. I saw my Dr who did a blood work up and even though my test came back normal he agreed to start me on a very low does of thyroid medication once a day. I also gave up wheat which I think has made a big difference. I never thought I could since I lived on cookies and cake but I've substitutued with other snacks (fat free yogourt, fruit, hummus with gluten free chips, cheese, even a small dish of ice cream) and eat meals with my family like pasta , I just cook my own portion of gluten free pasta and it tastes the same. One big difference for me is that the cravings for wheat and sugar (although I have some sugar) have just about disappeared. Since I just spent 9 days without power I was amazed I didn't stuff my face with cookies etc because I was stressed out. I definitely have more energy and am in a better mood(usually prone to anxiety/depression). Just wanted to share this with my friends here in case the info helps! And I swear my upper eyelids look much less puffy too!
