Even coach passengers were coddled. Decent meal on long flights, snacks and beverages on short flights. First class passengers were served filet and lobster. Need a blanket? No problem. Child flying unattended? No worry, we will take care of them. Now you are lucky if you get half a can of soda in a cheap plastic glass. I won't even go into the security hassle because I know its necessary. But the time spent on the plane itself now days is about the same as a Greyhound bus. I'm surprised some of the passengers don't have to stand.
