Re: RU Surviving? Heat/Humidity/Cold? Flood/Drought?

It's hot, it's Arizona, will be this way until October. Normal part of summer. Never really get used to it, just stay inside in the air conditioning.

Re: RU Surviving? Heat/Humidity/Cold? Flood/Drought?

Humans have created this country-wide mess with weather patterns. Few will admit this, only those who actually have been paying attention, tracking weather, making note of extremes, where they happen and how. It's been going on now for a good 50 years most recently.

We have no one to blame but ourselves. They say it still may not be too late but I really do not think they actually believe this.

These scientists also tell us to get used to these patterns, extreme hot in the summer, extreme cold in the winter, massive flooding, all the while extreme droughts,  tremendous fires burning everything in their paths, in our paths.

There is no getting used to wiping out an environment. We are the ones with brains who should know better and yet we prove day by day, year by year, century after century that we are not the superior race. We are killing ourselves, we have done this to ourselves and every living thing on this planet.

Re: RU Surviving? Heat/Humidity/Cold? Flood/Drought?

I just came from outside to water my plant and told my DH if I were to go out there holding an umbrella, I'd go up in the air like Mary Poppins! It's a great breeze, like yesterday, with cooler temps, most refreshing.

Not wearing any wind-proof makeup, but this is not the day for a hairdo!

Re: RU Surviving? Heat/Humidity/Cold? Flood/Drought?

While my part of SC had a mild summer last year (mild here means no days with temps of 100 degrees or more), we have been exceptionally hot so far this summer. It's already hit 100 or more with heat indexes of 150-110! This doesn't normally happen til July-August.

Today we're getting a break, it's only supposed to be 90 with no humidity...felt really nice with the breeze this morning when I left for church--it was 68!  Supposed to be back up in the 100's by mid-week.

Looking forward to October!

OH NO!  Bless your heart.  I hope you weren't stung in the private areas Smiley Surprised

Shortly after we built our house, I was laying on the floor and was stung by a scorpion VERY NEAR my private area.  I'm sure the next county heard me screaming!
