Not that it makes much difference, but the eyebrow pencil I use is Elf brand, not Rimmel....
Going to check out the Medium Brown shade today. ![]()
Interesting tip about the Just for Men product in blonde!

An FYI and word of caution about Just for Men...
My DH tried it for his eyebrows and mustache and got some major chemical burns from it. The skin blistered and weeped before it finally dried and scabbed. Never again.

@kindred cats I like using the pencil first and then a powder to fill in since it colors the skin under the brow which is very natural looking. Many times a taupe/blonde/brown shadow is in a palette you may already have.

@JeanLouiseFinch I think on the box it says a skin test is recommended. I've never had an issue. Sorry your DH had that problem.

@kaydee50 wrote:That show last night with Amy was the first presentation that I've watched for more than 5 minutes in a long time. In fact, I wound up watching most of the show. Didn't buy anything but I thought it was informative and everyone did a good job of presenting the products. How refreshing!
Agree. Was only going to watch a few minutes but ended up watching the entire show. So refreshing seeing a confident woman on TV with no fillers, botox, plumped up lips presenting! Just a natural, attractive aging woman! Bought the eyebrow set. As for Amy Stran, she looked beautiful and did a great hosting presentation. If she wears a 'red lip' or a 'nude lip,' doesn't matter...she always looks great and does a great job!

@Trinity11 .... Just so you know Shanus has a great deal going on with her and her husband's health right now, which is not trivial.
It was kind of her to take the time to help me with my brow issue.
Perhaps you could have alerted everyone to that lawsuit under this forum when you found out about it. However, better late than never. ![]()

Clearly, you are unfamiliar with this poster's "history" here @kindred cats , so therefore, I will remove my post.

That wasn't necessary, and I hope you'll repost, @Trinity11 . I was unaware of the lawsuit and I bet others are too. It's important information to have.
ETA - apparently I did know about the lawsuit at one time but forgot. There was a brief discussion here seven years ago. It was also appropriate to bring up in this thread, @kindred cats, as a particular poster suggested using a risky product.

In addition to @Shanus 's great advice. I wanted to share my situation.
I also have naturally dark brown/black hair and fair skin. I highlight my hair to blend the gray. So my orginally dark brown brows looked too dark with dark brow make up. I also have to be careful because some brow pencils (IT) pull red on me. Not sure if anyone else experiences that.
Anyhoo-
I usually look for and buy (from the drugstore) a brow powder kit that has two shades and a wax. ELF & Wet n'Willd I have tried and liked in the past. Of the two I like the wet n wild version better. I usually get a med brown or an ash brown. Because it has too shades, one is gonna be dark like a dark brown.
I use the wax first to fluff up and then direct the hairs. The I use the darker shade to fill in maybe two or three dots, where I have lost hair. Next i use the ligher shade to define the tail. Lastly I use the whatever is left on the brush if I need to fluff up the front. I think a light hand, (not reloading the brush unless needed) and two shades makes it look more natural. I try to look like I am not wearing any make up. LOL.
One last thing--
I recently bought the brow kit by LA Girl (hate the name by the way) but, a great compact.. It comes with two shades of brown powder, the wax, a highlighter and the brushes and mini tweezers. I think it was $7 or $8 at CVS. LOVE IT! I don't use the tools, but they are nice in a pinch.
In this kit I ended up buying the dark brown. I am just super easy with the dark shade. Once I tap the brush into the product, I wipe a little off.
I really like and use the highlighter now as my last step. I put a very thin line right under my brown from the middle to the tail and blend it really well. It makes my brows look super clean. It's a small step but makes a difference. (to me anyway).
Thanks to anyone reading this. I didn't mean to go on so long... but I really like this compact.
