Where is the "value", and "convenience" in the return policy? It's like they forgot about that.  JMHO

I order a lot, and return very little.  I hadn't returned anything at all since 2014 until recently I returned that dumb rotating brush from Doll 10, and an auto ship of Bare Minerals that just wasn't a color palette I'd ever use.  I was shocked at the return fees, and don't ever remember feeling that way before.  I have decided to be much more careful with my Q purchases based on this return policy. They claim to have "no risk returns", and to me that's deceptive. What's annoying more than the cost, is that The Q can afford to treat their clients better, and vehemently choose not to.  I can  return anyting at Nordstrom for free with no hassle.  And, I also learned at Nordstrom that they will not be undersold, and will match any price.  I've found this quite valuable a the beauty counter(or online).  Either way, I used to love The Q.  But the return policy disgusts me, so I'll be searching friendlier  vendors, like Nordstrom.  Heck, even HSN handles returns better than The Q.  Sorry, Q, I think what you're doing is highway robbery, and may warrant a complaint to the FTC.  Risk free shopping, it's not.  The best return policy in the industry, it' NOT, and risk-free returns, are a STRAIT UP LIE.

In addition to not charging for returns, some places like Nordstroms, Macys and Costco will let you return an item no matter how long you've had it, as long as it hasn't been used.  I buy lots of birthday and holiday gifts way in advance and appreciate being able to return them after several months if they aren't right.  I know that the Q and other retailers have started doing extended holiday returns beginning in Sept or Oct, but I usually start holiday shopping much earlier than that.

Online - Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman & Barney's all offer free shipping & free returns.  Bloomingdales also does if you join its free Loyalist program.  Saks offers free shipping but charges for returns, however, items can be returned to the store for free.

I purchase all my cometics online from these stores.

I made 2 purchases for a total of $400.00 and I only received $29.00 credit on each purchase.  I thought QVC would refund everything except the mailing charge.  Anyone know how this works .

I'm glad you weren't bashed and called "silly" for asking this question prior to calling customer service. I had a question the other day and asked if anyone else who ordered the IT OTO received the wrong item. A few people bashed me and called me "silly for posting the question before I had gotten hold of CS! It really hurt my feelings because it was just an innocent inquiry that turned ugly. I'm glad they were more kind to you! 🙂

There isn't a store out there that I am aware of that refunds original s/h if you return the item.  And there aren't many sites that offer free returns either.  The only shopping channel that still refunds original s/h is HSN and I strongly suspect that will change shortly.

QVC is up front about the return policy.  It's not hidden so they aren't in violation of anything.  It's up to all of us to know what any site or store's return/refund policy is.

It took me a LONG time to get the hang of the Return policies -- especially items bought on EZ pay.  You'll only be refunded the amount you've actually paid less the standard (IMO too high!) $6.95 S&H.  You'll see the refunds as separate credits on your bank or CC statement and it seems to take FOREVER for the Return Processing Center then Q to refund your money.  That's the part I hate -- my last return took over 2 weeks AFTER I put the item in the mail! The only reason for the Q to waive that exorbitant return shipping charge is if the item is DEFECTIVE in some way; and so many items are truly defective!  Lately I've had one-third of my purchases come to me in a defective condition -- either nasty old smell, or malfunction of pump, or 'not as presented on air'.  Here's the BEST way to expedite your return & refund:

CALL CS and tell them the specific 'defect' you've found with your order (not just that you don't like it).  Ask the CS to not charge you for the return S&H when the item is defective in some way (so many are lately as Quality Control has gone out the window!).  They can't expedite your refund but you'll not pay the S&H in many circumstances.

I've been shopping at other online stores to compare experiences; so far the 2 best ones are A--zon & Za--os.  The Z is by far the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever had!  They don't carry all the Beauty products I use but for many other items I go to them first.  Their return & refund policies are awesome -- they actually trust the customer!

QVC can't be beat for their 'specials' and EZ pay plans and A-D and their Customer Service (if you get the right person or a supervisor) is usually willing to accomodate your requests -- it never hurts to ask nicely for what you want because very often they'll give it (seriously ask for the Supervisor to make a decision on your legitimate request -- 95% of the time I get a positive response & outcome).  **CALL THEM - DEFINITELY**

TOTALLY AGREE.  PAYING SHIPPING BOTH WAYS ON A RETURN IS GETTING OUT OF HAND.  HOSTS CONTINUE TO OUTRIGHT LIE, SAYING TRY IT AT NO RISK TO YOU!!   LAST TIME I RETURNED A $20 ITEM IT COST ME $13!

ALSO TIRED OF PAYING DOUBLE  SHIPPING ON 2 LIKE ITEMS.  ABSURD!  I TOO AM SHOPPING MORE AT NORDSTROM, AMAZON, GILT, ETC.   YOU CAN GET DEALS ON VENDORS OWN WEBSITES WITH NO SHIPPING IN MOST INSTANCES.
