Question re Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation

@monicakm  - know you have this foundation.  Since my Sephora doesn't have it in the store, I had to order it online using my shade match and best guess.  Am curious how do the shades run in this foundation?  Do they run lighter/darker than expected?  Do they oxidize once on?  I've been wanting to try this foundation and know I can return it if the shade isn't right but thought I'd check with you and see what you thought.  Thank you!

If anyone else has this foundation, please chime in with your thoughts too.

I'm sorry I've been away for a couple of days @JudyL .  I'll go get it right now to see if it oxidizes.  I'm sure it does.  Most do to an extent but it's a lovely light coverage foundation.  I have 1.5N but I think I could have gone with 2N  BRB...Yes, there is some oxidation.  I may buy 2.5N during the fall sale and mix them.

@monicakm - Thank you for your response.  I ordered the 2.5N so hoping that is ok.  Looking forward to trying it.  Will let you know if it oxides much on me. Think that also depends on one's skin chemistry.

Re: Question re Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation

[ Edited ]

@monicakm  - Well my package arrived today which was a pleasasnt surprise because I wasn't expecting it until Wednesday.  The 2.5N is a tad too dark/yellow for me but once blended in doesn't look too bad.  Don't get much coverage from this foundaton.  Not sure if going down to the 2N would be much different and feel if I go down another shade, the coverage would be next to nothing.  I've got it on and will wear it today.  Didn't apply a primer and it doesn't look like it needs one.  Have no other makeup on so I can see how it wears/looks as the day goes on.

Edited:  Decided to drive to my local Sephora and return it.  It just wasn't the right shade for me.  I may try it one more time and try the 2N but not sure.

Re: Question re Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation

I told you it was between a tent and a light coverage foundation. My 1.5 might be just a hair to light but I'd rather my base be too light then dark and warm. I would feel like I had mud on my face.

I'm sorry I didn't work out for you.  What is your favorite foundation right now?  Would 2N work for you?  How did the formula feel on your face?

@monicakm  - I did end up ordering the 2N to see how that works.  I did like how it went on and how it looked - except for the shade - so that's why I decided to try the 2N.  Even though it was a bit lighter than I expected as far as coverage, I can work with that if the shade 2N works for me.  Will let you know.

Re: Question re Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation

@monicakm  - I ordered the Dior foundaton in 2N and it arrived today.  The shade is perfect for me and I just did one side of my face and it looks so good.  Just did it with my fingers too, wasn't trying to be careful how I applied it as I was more interested in how the shade looked and it still looked good!

@JudyL

GREAT!  I'll be anxious to hear how you like the formula and how it wears.
