Question for long-term Isomers users about formula changes

If there is a formula change of a product, does Manuela ever announce it? The reason I ask is back in 2013 I bought my mom the skin brightening hand cream. She still has the container and I was looking at the ingredients and compared it to the ingredients online and they are pretty different.

2013 version:

Water. Stearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Caprylic/Capric Triglysceride,Phenyl Trimethicone, Polygylceryl-2 Isostearate/Dimer Dilinoleate Copolymer, Niacinamide, Phytantriol, Phyllanthus Embilica Fruit Extract, Ordenone, Panthenol, Licorice Root Extract, disodium EDTA, lactic acid, Potassium Lactate, Glycerin, Titanium Dioxide, Manganese Oxide, Phenoxyethanol, Tropolone.

2015 version:

Water. Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Niacinamide, dimethicone, Glycerin, Phenyl Trimethicone, Panthenol, Phytantriol, allantoin, dimethicone crosspolymer, Phyllanthus Embilica Fruit Extract, urea, Tocopheryl acetate, Licorice Root Extract, lactic acid, Potassium Lactate, camellia sinensis leaf extract, Titanium Dioxide, carbomer, polysorbate 60, tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, Phenoxyethanol, Tropolone

Seems like a pretty big difference and I like how high the niacinamide is now on the newer version. My mom wasn't super impressed with the one I got her back in 2013 but the new formula might work better?

Isomers formulas are open. If a new technology will improve a product, they will reformulate.

{#emotions_dlg.laugh}Not a big deal but it seems odd that a company wouldn't post something about reformulations of products. Personally I wouldn't have bought it again for my mom but now that the ingredients look a bit better, I may have her try it again. What a shame that I had to compare ingredients to notice a formulation change- she could have gained a sale by just making a comment about it.

I don't know about the hand cream specifically, but I watched Manuela during her last visit and several times she mentioned the fact that their formulas are constantly updated as new scientific breakthrough occur so that consumers always get the latest, most up-to-date formulation and delivery system.

Re: Question for long-term Isomers users about formula changes

my point being though is she should give a heads up when they are. Most companies do. And what if you love the formula and you reorder it and it doesn't work as well (or the opposite, might work better)? You'd be confused why it no longer works as well. I guess I just don't want to have to check ingredients on something ever time I go to reorder it. I simply would like a heads up to changes. And nothing she added in the new one is a new, breakthrough ingredient. They've all been around for a long time. She just changed them around, deleted a few and added a few other ingredients.

Totally agree with you, was just relaying what I heard, which would explain formulation changes. She made it sound like formulas are tweaked as more info on ingredients and delivery systems Is available. She didn't make it sound like they were major re formulations.

This is interesting! I only use a few Isomers products (two eye serums - love them!), and I haven't looked for formula changes. I guess you would think they would state that it's a different formula on the ShopHQ or Isomers site, but I guess not. I sure hope that hand cream works. That made quite the move up the ingredient list!
