Good morning! I just ordered the value for the day from Skinn Cosmetics -- DermaLift serums and creams, day and night. This is my first foray into the Skinn Cosmetics line and my question for you beauties is: Are these products noncomedogenic?

The reason I ask is that I ordered a kit from Dr. Jeannette Graf on the southern channel, and it did nothing but clog my pores -- yikes! Really bad -- I felt 16 again (and not in a good way!) I was surprised as I have very dry skin that is sensitive, too.

Any advice you can offer is appreciated. I'm 56, not badly wrinkled, and also use Dr. Denese's peel pads. Dr. Denese's other products seem to "pill" on my skin and wipe off in little itty-bitty pills.

Thanks!!!

Re: Question for Skinn users

Just my opinion, but I find Skinn's choice of ingredients to have much more integrity than Dr. Graf's, her line to me is just very average.

Thanks, Shelbelle. It was my first -- and last -- time trying Dr. Graf's products. It was a mixed kit with a peel pad, a cleanser, two different serums, two different eye cremes, a face moisturizer, and a body moisturizer. I was just stunned at what was happening to my skin -- clogged, clogged with lots of whiteheads. As I said, I felt 16!!! Blech.

I just hope this Skinn kit is non-comedogenic -- do you know if it is or not? It wasn't stated, that I could see, on the descriptions so I worry that I'll be wasting my money again.

Thanks,

Rebecca J

Re: Question for Skinn users

I haven't tried these particular products, RebeccaJ, but I've never gotten clogged pores from any of his products that I have used. Good luck!

Re: Question for Skinn users

I know that Skinn does not use any mineral oil or petroleum, Dr Graf tends to sneak petro into some of her products. That being said, I have combo skin at 61, and I do think some of Skinn's creams are just a tad too heavy for my skin, just geared for more dry types. but his serums and some of the creams are just perfect.

Re: Question for Skinn users

The SKINN products I've tried have not caused any problems for me.

In my experience, "pilling" is usually caused by using too much product and/or too many layers of products applied without allowing enugh time between layers.

Thanks, MarenSeattle! I've never had an experience like I had with Dr. Graf's products -- even when I used to use pure petroleum jelly on my skin at night! {#emotions_dlg.blink} I'm hoping for a good experience with Skinn....

Hi willdob3! I thought the same thing but regardless of how long I waited between peel pad, serum, moisturizer (usually 30 -45 minutes after applying each), it would just pill and flake off my skin -- very odd! I've never had that happen with other products -- perhaps it's all the silicone Dr. Denese uses. Who knows? I did love each of her products, just couldn't use them in the combo she recommends. I am hoping Skinn will work and glad to know you haven't had any problems. Thanks so much!

Re: Question for Skinn users

I'm fairly new to Skinn. I haven't tried these products, but have ordered a lot if his products in the last 3-4 months. I have VERY acne prone skin. Nothing I've tried has caused a problem yet. I'm watching him now and thinking about purchasing this one too. I think my favorite products so far are his Collagenesis Creme Reverse cream and his Radiance body oil.

Hi again! Thanks for your review -- I do have very, very dry skin so I hope it will help me (and without clogging up my pores)!!! Wink
