@JeanLouiseFinch I agree! I'm no scientist...but it seems like if these wipes, sprays, sanitizers, etc. that claim to kill 99.9% of germs/bacteria/viruses (IF used correctly) actually work---doesn't that leave behind the strongest/most resistant 0.1% to breed?
Hmmmm, or maybe just 0.1% of what's left of a germ pie? I don't know, that's a good point.

I fought the good fight at the beginning of COVID but was defeated by my steering wheel, purse strap and the outer knob from the garage to the house.
Only lasting lesson was put the grocery bags on the floor rather the counter top.
Germs are out there, but there is only so much you can do.

A long time ago I read that a car's steering wheel is one of the most germ infested things we handle daily.

Some items can be disinfected by leaving them in direct sunlight for 60 minutes. Be sure and flip them over to insure complete exposure. The UV radiation from the sun sanitizes things.

airports and airplanes are petri dishes. ugh. nothing wrong with using wipes on surfaces. seat belt buckles, tray tables, seat back pockets. you can't wash your hands all the time on a plane. you can barely get to use the lav lots of times, the plane is packed to the gills. I wear a hoodie up over my head. germaphobe.

@JeanLouiseFinch I completely agree. I don't use hand sanitizer, disinfectant, lysol or any of that stuff. I wash my hands with a standard bar of soap and I bathe regularly. I don't use air purifier devices and I keep windows open for ventilation and fresh air. I never get sick and I don't even get colds. A lot of people like to use antibacterial stuff, but I just don't feel the need to.

I would love to leave the windows cracked for fresh air but when it's 107 degrees outside or even 97 or 87 or 77 or 67, can't do it. Then when it's in the 50s and I have them open somebody comes right in behind me and closes it. Two guesses who that would be 🫥

@monicakm You are a trooper to handle the hot Texas heat!! I'm guessing that your husband closes the window on a 50 degree day 😁😉💗

Yes he does! In an odd turn of events, I'm the one freezing with a temperature of 68° in the house and it's just right for him. He just tucked me in bed with two quilts and a heating pad.

@monicakm Now that is a fun thermostat agreement- just right for him and a heating pad with a quilts for you 😊.
