I follow my dermatologist's directions.

Wash face in the evening.

Apply gel immediately after washing.

Do not apply anything to face until next morning.

Apply moisturizer next morning after washing face.

@Foxxee  @San Antonio Gal  Ditto on what Foxxee stated above. As a FYI, I use Tretinoin, the generic version of Retin A. I started using Tretinoin five years ago,  using the cream version in the medium strength (0.05%). Using it 2x a week.
It has definitely been a game changer for me. Started at age 61, now at age 66 and my skin looks pretty good. A recent photo of me is below. Obviously wearing eye makeup but only wearing tinted moisturizer with some concealer and blush. Jewelry by Heidi Daus.

@MissRose722

Yes, it DOES work.  Your skin looks lovely and you're very pretty, too.

Wow @MissRose722 .  What a beautiful pic!  Your skin is lovely.  Very pretty lady.

Did you get Heidi Daus jewelry from HSN?  Looks great with the top

I also use the generic treinoin, but I use the cream version (.05).  I don't know if I need to increase the strength.  I'm fine with the .05.

Thanks for sharing the pic!  Smiley Happy

@San Antonio Gal  Thank you so much! Although I have purchased several Heidi Daus items from HSN, I actually purchased the earrings directly from the Heidi Daus website as they were not available on HSN. Purchased them this month on sale, a nice plus. I purchased the necklace brand new on eBay a few years ago, but it is now also available on her website. And like you, I'm fine with the .05 as I think that percentage is a happy medium - not too weak, not too strong.

Re: Question for Retin A users

My skin can't go without a moisturizer after applying Retina A. My derm has said it's perfectly fine to apply a moisturizer. I have been doing this for almost 30 years.

Re: Question for Retin A users

I put moisturizer on right after I put on my Differin Adapalene gel at night.
