Question about working from home jobs

I thought I would try this area first to ask if any of you ladies could suggest some ideas for jobs that you can do from home. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. I never know which web sites you can trust and don't have to pay up front. Thanks again.

Re: Question about working from home jobs

Its not so much about finding at home jobs over the internet. My sister works for new build housing company and uses cad and can do that at home.b Her kids are getting older and she needs to have more freedom to get them to and from school. So she asked her boss and he said she could work from home as long as she puts in 40 hours and he can tell by the work she turns in. He doesnt care what times she works. She will be fulltime at home once my dad retires in a year so my parents can do what they want. Her husband sells houses and his main job is housing appraisels. He travels a couple times a week and works from home the rest of the week.He works with a couple others and they have their own little company. So its just having the right training or looking for the right kind of job where you can do that.

Re: Question about working from home jobs

Yes, it is usually that your place of employment would like you to work from home to save them costs, and to save YOU trouble...especially if you have children. I worked from home as an independent contractor for two Fortune 500 companies...that I worked for at the time.

Re: Question about working from home jobs

If your current job is such that you can work from home, here is how I got my manager to go with teleworking. I went online and printed off or sent her articles from all the Fortune 500 companies in our city that had already embraced the concept and how much money they saved. Sometimes daily, sometimes weekly, as well as bringing it up every chance I got. I just had to bring home the fact that it was beneficial to both of us. I never gave up. It took about 3 months, but one day, they said "we are going to use you as the test". And I have been home ever since. My job is computers all day, no real reason to visit the office. Why did I do this? My commute was between 3-5 hours per day, every day.

Re: Question about working from home jobs

I have a friend who does medical coding or billing from her home. She works on a contractual basis for a couple of local doctors; however, she has years of experience and worked in medical offices first, which is how she made her contacts. I don't know much else about that particular field though. What are your skills? Employment background?

Personally, I would stay away from those internet ads, too. If they were as wonderful as they claim to be, everyone would be doing it.
