Question about foundation...

I am 70 years old and no wrinkles but very rosy complexion. I need a foundation that is easy to apply and looks natural but helps with the redness. I think a lot of liquid foundations look cakey and don't spread very well and many powder foundations don't cover the redness or look fake. Help...any suggestions??

@Mollie

I use Wander Beauty powder foundation and get compliments.

As with all of their products, for me, a beautiful color evolves after it “sets.”

I am the palest shade — it looks yellow at first and then “adapts.”

There are color-correcting primers, but I'm a fan of CC (color-correcting) cream.  This is a product that addresses redness and sallow skin and "evens" it out.

I've been using Lumene for years, but it's been discontinued.  I was considering one from Merle Norman but purchased a BB cream from another company instead.  Mistake.  I really prefer CC creams.

The hard part is finding the right one because there are so many out there.  Affordable drugstore brands and high-end "luxury" brands.

Perhaps the ladies can recommend their favorites here.

I stopped using regular foundation a few years ago. I use Olay CC Total Effects and find it gives me enough coverage yet looks natural. I also like Neutrogena tinted moisturizer. Sometimes I mix the 2 in the palm of my hand and then apply. Using a primer first may also help with application. It can take a few tries before finding the right CC because the shades are more limited than traditional foundations.

Re: Question about foundation...

I also like Hourglass Seamless Foundation Stick. Recently I tried Laura Mercer Silk Creme Moisturizing Foundation and also like that. If you are looking for one that is sold on QVC, I also like Kristofer Buckle. It's very creamy and wears well plus has a built in primer. Can you tell I am a foundation junkie? Oh I also like Guerlain Lingerie de Peau. Comes in a wide range of shades too.

I'm in my 60's and really liking the Tarte stick foundation.  Like its coverage, shade - light medium - and goes on and blends easily.

I am in your age range and have similiar type skin. I found tha Bobbi Brown foundation stick works for me. It looks like your skin but better. I also like Laura Geller's Balance & Brighton. It goes on quick and lasts.
