Question about expired Retinol..??

Just wondering if anyone knows how long an expired retinol serum may be effective?

Typically, retinol is much weaker than prescription Retin-A to begin with.  If it's expired, I doubt it would be effective at all.

I can't answer your question, but I personally think all those expiration dates are created just to get us to buy......m o r e.

I agree that this could be the case many times, but there are skincare ingredients, medications, food items that degrade with age so I wouldn't give that as a blanket response.  IMO, each situation needs to be evaluated on its own.

Yes.I would not used an expired retinol. For me it is an incentive not to buy too much and use what I have.
