I am wanting to try the Tarte product. Does anyone know if and how they purify the amazonia clay that is used in their products?

The amazonian river is less than free of toxins. My husband and I just watched a show called Drug's Inc. that was on cocaine. All of the chemicals that are used to manufacture the drug in this area are dumped into the river. I can't remember the exact amount but is was huge. I just wonder how they are cleaning the clay so this is not getting into their product.
