Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

I just did the AM cleanser and it did a better job taking off the makeup. I did my first derm peel. Not bad! I have Rosecea. My normal routine is Clinique cleanser and The Body Shop Aloe moisturizers (am/pm). Once a week I do Amore Paciifica enzyme peel. That stuff rocks! No scrubbies and it's gentle. It also feels like a vacuums your pores. I was worried about the Derm Peel being too harsh. At first it was, but I add more water and it wasn't too harsh. My cheeks are normal peaches n cream color, not the red cheeks I was expecting. I may not use the cleansers, but I like the rest if the TTV products and the other purchases. Gazelle, I like your siggy!

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

Chisos, I might try your routine tomorrow. Let us know about the wipes. I'm going to try the tinted orchid gel this weekend along with the trio of no Makeuo things. It had a Bronzer, bright re and no color thing. Can't remember the names at the moment. They eyeshadow and blush lasted ten hrs. Smiley Happy. Off to bed. Will report back this weekend on the other products. Thanks again for your suggestions! Smiley Happy

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

I use this cleanser with my clarisonic machine. And sometimes I use a warm wash cloth too. My makeup comes off either way but I use a separate cleanser for the eyes.

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

It takes my makeup off, but I use it mainly for the smell. I let it set for 5 minutes like Dimitri says for a mini facial. The morning cleanser took me a while to get use to the smell, but now I like it. I prefer a foaming face cleanser. I only buy his cleansers if they are in a TTV, I don't think they work any better than the drugstore brands.

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

I use Purity at night to take off my eye make-up, then the Olive PM cleanser to remove the rest with my sonic cleanser. The Olive & Enzyme cleanser does not take off my eye make-up. Then I use the AM cleanser with a bit of Philosophy Micro-Delivery to wash in the morning. I love this combo!!

My experience is the same as gazelle77's. I used a cotton pad with a toner after using the PM cleanser. I had make-up on and washed twice. The pad was covered with foundation. I don't usually use a toner, but my face didn't seem clean so I checked it out. The AM cleanser does a better job of make up removal.

I recently picked up the charcoal cleanser by Biore and it does a great job at a much better price.

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

I love the PM but don't like the AM Cleanser. We should swap{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}. I don't expcet any cleanser to get all my eye makeup off so I do use a little something extra for that. But I like the way my skin feels after the PM cleanser. Wish he sold them separately and maybe he does, but his kits are such a great value.

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

My Opthalmologist recommends NOT using soap/cleanser around the eye/orbital area, to use a makeup remover. Per the Doc the oil glands that line the margins of the eyelids just inside the eyelashes are there to protect your eye and the skin around you eye doesn't produce oil so what is present should remain, this also helps with keeping the wrinkles at bay. Maybe that is why people with oily skin tend to be less wrinkled (JMO). However some people will get blocked or occluded oil glands and then and only then should you use baby shampoo mixed/diluted with water. Apply using a cotton swab or clean wash cloth dipped in the soapy lather and gently rub eyelashes then rinse well with water.

Re: Question about Skinn PM cleanser

I bought a TTV a couple of months ago so I could try his cleansers and the Dermapeel. I honestly think that his cleansers are overrated. I don't like the smell of the a.m. cleanser and if it gets in my eyes...oh boy does it burn. The p.m. cleanser smells wonderful but it doesn't remove all makeup. I use a Serious Skin Care retinoid pad or reverse lift pad after using his p.m. cleanser to get rid of any makeup left behind. The peel is a pain to use - don't get any water in the jar or you will ruin it but you are supposed to put it on a wet face. Too much hassle and I think Philosophy's vitamin C peel and Purity work way better so I am going to stick with them. Also Skinn's cleansers are too expensive (look at the size/oz. and compare with the price).
