Question about SAM

I'm debating on whether or not to give the SAM tsv a try. I am a POM/TeaTree/613 user but have yet to try SAM. My main issue is scent. Is the menthol scent stronger in SAM than the POM? Does SAM have a strong peppermint smell when mixed with the menthol? I've heard that there isn't much of the almond scent. Not a fan of strong toothpaste like peppermint scents, so I'm on the fence on whether to try SAM or stick with the POM. Any opinions and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
