Re: Question about Matrixyl 3000 and argireline are the peptide complex serum

@simplyfriends @LTT1 @JeanLouiseFinch

I like to keep things simple and adding something new throws me for a bit of a loop. I want to avoid unappealing side effects...like a rash, peeling a pimple. Lol.

Thanks for sharing how you use your products. It has helped me feel more comfortable on how to incorporate this product.

Re: Question about Matrixyl 3000 and argireline are the peptide complex serum

I use the Timeless Matixyl Synthe'6 as my morning serum.  Besides that, if it's not part of my day/night cream or night serum, I'm not using any other peptides.  I used to use Skinn's peptide serum, and it's okay, but I went back to M Asam.  I switch those up on occasion.

Matrixyl is supposed to have a somewhat botox-like effect which is the reason I use it during the day, although that effect is probably cumulative rather than immediate.

@kate2357

Forgot to say...I have looked at the isomers ingredients... there is no water

I put the "lip firming" serum in my car and it never evaporates or goes bad.

Ssme with the Cica or peptide serums. My "extra" I keep in my car...apply at stoplights, etc lol.

Re: Question about Matrixyl 3000 and argireline are the peptide complex serum

@Icegoddess I THINK it was you who wrote how much you liked the Tarte timeless primer? Well I bought a mini size one to try and really like it. My question is, do you use it over or under your foundation/moisturizer or will that take away the effects of the primer? I've only used it on bare skin and it's a tiny jar so I don't want to waste it by experimenting! Thanks! If it wasn't you, sorry to have bothered you, lol.

Re: Question about Matrixyl 3000 and argireline are the peptide complex serum

@Judaline Yes, I did mention the Tarte Primer.  @monicakm had posted a video about "The Best Of" and it was mentioned there for making pores disappear.  While I was disappointed in the video as a whole since I expected only one or two items per category and the lady seemed to focus on certain items, I did decide to try this primer since I hate seeing pores.

I've been very happy with it. It has a dry feel vs the silicone feel of many primers.  I don't wear it all over my face, only in the areas where visible pores bother me, on either side of the nose and on my chin.  I apply it after moisturizer and even after my all-over NYX Marshmellow primer.  The NYX primer isn't silicony either.  Feels more like a moisturizer.  After that, I apply undereye brightener and then my foundation.

@Icegoddess  Thanks! I couldn't find that thread for anything so I'm glad it was you,lol. I just said to myself today after using and liking the Tarte primer, 'Just what I need-another product for my morning routine.' But I wanted it when you said it helped your chin. So I'm a happy camper-hoping it lasts the day?

Re: Question about Matrixyl 3000 and argireline are the peptide complex serum

@Judaline , it does for me.  I figure if I can look in my magnifying mirror and the first thing I see is NOT pores, it's doing it's job.  I don't NEED makeup to last me all day.  I only wear it on Sundays, but when I do wear it, I go ahead and wear it all day.  My eyes wish I wouldn't though, LOL.

I don't wear foundation unless I'm going somewhere. I've been using the Jones Road balm. (Bobbi Brown's new company). It's not really a foundation but whatever it is I love it-I use the pink one to give me color. Thanks for your reply.

@kate2357

I only use the Matrixyl.  After hydrating with multiple essences, I go in with my serums and I use this one in my morning routine.
