Re: Question about Cerave Cleanser, or other suggestions

I have been using CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for years. It removes my makeup, I use a muslin cloth. I'm sure you would have to use an eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara. I have very sensitive skin and this is nice and creamy cleanser. Would be excellent for rosacea.

My husband and I also use the CeraVe SA Lotion from face to toes everyday. I won't ever stop using CeraVe unless L'Oreal decides to change the formula.

Re: Question about Cerave Cleanser, or other suggestions

@StillRachB @dex IITA with @Poodlepet2's recommendation. I got one of the Campanelli cloths in my QVC Advent calendar (and I thought, LAME, who wants a washcloth?!) But this thing is amazing! I don't have any shedding, and it easily removes my full face of makeup, including my waterproof liquid eyeliner that NOTHING removes easily. I never have to buy makeup removing wipes again!

Re: Question about Cerave Cleanser, or other suggestions

Wengirl, this is not scientific by any means, but I have tested all three of the facial cleansers I have using a white face cloth-after using the Campanelli: there was nothing there.

I don't have what I would call sensitive skin, but these are ideal for that.  They would make fantastic wash cloths for babies, but they are so big!

I love Campanelli-I highly recommend the cloth type kitchen sponges: one side is for scrubbing, the other is smooth. They last for months and months: I pop them in the dishwasher and wring out the water. They don't get stinky!

Re: Question about Cerave Cleanser, or other suggestions

I canceled my Campanellis. There is a dupe on Amazon, a 3 pack for $2.97, that has excellent reviews. So I ordered 2 packs.

I'm really trying to get away from Purity Made Simple but I'm having a hard time finding another one-step cleanser that removes a full face of makeup. I haven't tried Cerave but I'm wondering if it's like Cetaphil, which takes NOTHING off my face. Does anyone use a Cerave cleanser that will take off a full face of makeup? Or have a suggestion for another cleanser that will? I have dry, sensitive skin and rosacea. The IT balm cleanser did a nice job of cleansing but made me break out. I'd love to find a drugstore option.

I can't use Purity as it gives me cystic acne.  I have used the Clniqiue foaming facial cleanser in the tube (it's pink), and then I use PTR or Cerave to wash.

I also have used wipes to get rid of makeup and then a wash.  I never just use wipes singularliy.

There's a cleansing water that is nice to remove makeup.  I think it's Garnier.  It's either Garnier or L'oreal.  I've used it, and I like it.

I'd never just use a face wash without using something before the wash to get rid of the foundation.  I've tried that before, then I've used my Clinique toner, and there's a ton of makeup residue left behind.  Washes to not, for the most part, remove makeup.  One needs a makeup remover.

Here is one I"ve tried:

So L'oreal and Garnier both make one.  I believe I just bought the L'oreal around Christmas, but I have not yet tried it:

This one is good, but I still have found some makeup residue after using this (and after using a wash):

Re: Question about Cerave Cleanser, or other suggestions

I've used Cerave Hydrating Cleanser (For Normal to Dry Skin) for years and yes, it takes off all makeup. My dry, sensitive skin loves it. First recommended to me by my dermatologist.
