I didn't know how to word this.  What I was meaning was this:  I seldom use mascara but I want to have some handy for when I do want to use.  By the time I often use it, it is older and I am concerned that it may not be safe or good to use.  Has anyone ever seen mascara made in very small containers in multiple packs so that if you open one, it only has enough product for a couple uses and then you toss, and then you have 2 or 3 other containers which are sealed and unopened?  Thanks!

I have not seen anything like that myself but it sounds like a really good idea.  I don't wear mascara every day only when I go out, ususally 2 or 3 times a week,  so mascara definitely gets too old before I use it up.

This is a great question!  That would be nice if they did offer those.  My only idea would be to see if companies maybe have any sort of sample sizes?   And by emailing them, they'll at least be made aware there is interest for such a thing.

On Ulta website there are many travel size mascaras.  At my store these are located near checkout in bins.

@AngelPuppy1  Sephora has many different brands of mini mascaras. Also Amazon sells " travel size" mascaras.

I have an ongoing problem with my left eye and so I do not wear mascara very often. I found the 'try me' sizes at Ulta and love them for this, but did not realize they were a regular item. Thank you!

@AngelPuppy1   You may be able to snag some sample sizes in gift sets or beg for some at makeup counters in dept. stores. I know Lancome used to keep samples for customers to try since they carry so any different formulas. Gifts w/ Purchase sometimes include a small mascara.

Whenever they go on sale (BB just had 25% off siteside), I purchase the mini Smokey Eye Mascara duos. Each one lasts about 2 1/2 months and I have several unopened backups.

Yrs past, some of those free gifts with purchase at various Department stores such as Clinique, Lancome  ect would include mini mascara  . Sephora  might have some too .

You can also find all the sample and mini sizes of the designer mascaras from the free gift with purchase on eBay.  They are sold separately.
