Question About Face Cleanser

I've been using Purity and First Aid Beauty as my go to cleansers when I'm not taking off makeup.

I want to now use something I'm sure is cruelty free that I can get here or at Sephora or Ulta.

Any recommendations? TIA!  Smiley Happy

Re: Question About Face Cleanser

I use Josie Maran pineapple cleanser most of the time. Ocassionally I use her milk cleanser. Both are good. Ulta sells them, but I just purchased the pineapple cleanser from qvc because they have a supersize.

@beach-mom

I use WEN Bella Spirit Facial Cleansing Treatment.  It's a light lotion that is quite hydrating and leaves my skin super clean!

Re: Question About Face Cleanser

How would you feel about getting a cleanser from Amazon?  I love Naturium's Rice Cleanser.  $12.82/4oz

Re: Question About Face Cleanser

@beach-mom  Sephora sells Paula's Choice which is cruelty free. Paula's Choice website offers a larger variety of cleansers and a discount. It has been a few years since I used her products so cannot offer much in the way of a review.  I think most if not all are without added fragrance.

I also use Josie Maran Pineapple Cleanser.  It's my fave. I have not tried First Aid, but Purity was too drying for me.

I love Korres Olyumpus Tea, the foaming one in the pump bottle.

@beach-mom   If you're not removing makeup, skin does not appear oily, derms are recommending just to splash with warm water. There's no cleanser needed.

Re: Question About Face Cleanser

Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions!

I forgot to mention my skin is combination and a tad sensitive. DD are taking a few hours today to hit the beauty stores- Sephora, Ulta, and Blue Mercury! One is not that close.

@SurferWife - I never thought about Bella Spirit! I do use whatever cleanser I'm using on my hair while I'm standing in the shower as kind of a "second cleanse" for my face. I will get this while it's on sale if I can!

@Janey2 and @justashopper - I love Josie's products and use a lot. I don't know how I missed this! I use Milk and didn't realize there was a milk cleanser. The pineapple sounds more like what I want right now- something to foam a little more.

@monicakm - That rice cleanser looks nice! I've been using a rice powder since I taught in Japan in my early 20's. When I got back home it was really hard to find one. Sephora and Ulta weren't around,  so I splurged and got Shiseido at the department store, but it wasn't the rice cleanser. Years later Fresh made one I liked, so of course they discontinued it! I tried one by Bobbi Brown that was like a dark mud, but didn't like it. So then Tatcha came along.

Even though I doubt the gimmicky "Geisha antique book" story, I do like this rice cleanser. Buy the one you shared is a lot more affordable, so I will get that the next time I need some. I use this only twice a week on my dermatologist's advice.

@Iwantcoffee - I used this years ago. I Iiked it, but moved on to something else. I know Paula sold the company, and that's usually when things start to change. I will investigate more about the ownership and maybe try again!

@Shelbelle - Never tried anything Korres. I'll look for it today!    Smiley Happy

Thanks @Shanus! Years ago in college I sold Mary Kay, and this was their recommendation.

I guess I just felt funny without doing "something." My skin isn't oily, but I feel better when it is fresh!

My mom had beautiful skin. People always commented on it. The only thing she used to cleanse was Oil of Olay - the original pink lotion!   Smiley Happy
