From what I've read here about problems people have with the Q Gift Cards, I wouldn't touch one.

There used to be an issue when they offered promotional gift cards instead of discounted cards. There won't be any issues with these cards because you won't get a separate promotional card like before.

Thanks I sent one to my cousin for her birthday she loved it. She ordered her favorite perfume and a manicure set! 
  I sent the e card because I was too late to mail a gift. 
  I might get some regular cards.

With all the issues I've read about their gift cards, I wouldn't chance it either.

My experience this evening was perfect - I just placed an order and about two minutes later all the digital gift cards I purchased appeared in my email (along with a confirmation email of my total order). The amount I was charged was the total less 20%.

I've ordered gift cards for QVC previously (with the promo with the gift card offer) and never had an issue (sounds like I was lucky 3 years in a row)!  This was very easy and just saved quite a bit!  Thought I would share a positive experience in case anyone was thinking about ordering

I've  bought many gift cards without a problem with the gift card or the promotional credit they would send. I've received many gift cards without a problem. 

This seems even easier if you automatically get the $20 off.

I have given and received many, many QVC gift cards.  I have never had a problem with them.  They never expire either.

Yes, it is a way to "drum" up business.  Isn't that what businesses do?  Promotions?  Sounds like a pretty good one to me.  Much better than easy pay which saves you nada.
