QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

I pulled the trigger and purchased the last Clarisonic TSV.  I guess I received it around June 25th, so I've only been using it a couple of weeks.  I have heard over and over again that this device helps reduce pores.  My question is this.  How long does it take for this to happen?  So far, I haven't seen any results in this area.  Maybe I'm being impatient, but I didn't want to keep it if I should be seeing results already.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Re: QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

I am 64 and have been using my Mia for prob 6 years now---it cleans your skin by removing the gunk that make your pores big, thus reducing the size of your pores. You need a product that is topical, I think, like a mask especially for reducing the size of  pores that you use regularly. I'm sure if you ask, you will get lots of recs for a mask. Lots of people think that the clarisonic is an exfoliator--it is not! It cleans the skin. I love mine and have very nice skin thanks to it.

Re: QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

The Clarisonic does throughly clean skin after makeup is removed or if a no makeup day, just cleansed. It does exfoliate depending on which brush you use.

To reduce pores, I suggest PTR Peel Pads or a Retinol product, preferably rx strength Retin A and/or a facial scrub (any drugstore brand’s OK).

Be careful. Do not use all above products and Clarisonic. Overkill and irritation. I rotate nights between the products...sometimes use none if skin seems red or dry. Listen to what your face tells you.

Are you saying you remove your makeup first  and then also use the Clarisonic? I thought the Clarisonic was used to remove makeup.

@12andcounting  They do the demos that way, but what’s the point of grinding makeup into your pores. Always remove makeup first & then use Clarisonic w/ a bit more cleanser. It’ll save you $ on brushes, too...not getting them fithly w/ makeup.

Re: QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

@12andcountingI have used my Clarisonic pretty much the way @Shanusdoes.  I get rid of the worst of the "dirt" before I cleanse deeper with the Clarisonic.  I stopped counting the years. but I know one of my Clarisonics is old - it's a Plus rather than a Mia and I haven't seen those forever it seems.

For pore reduction, I currently favor Philosophy's Purity made simple pore extractor.  I use it on my t-zone mostly.  I'm 75+ now and large pores just get larger as we age, but I'm still getting compliments on my skin.  In some ways I think mine is better now than when I was young; in some age has it way, of course.

I do think like any other beauty regimen, 2 or 3 weeks isn't going to make a huge change.  I know it's hard to be patient, but all of a sudden I do believe with continued use, the Clarisonic can make a difference.  I know the mornings after I've used mine (about 4 or 5 nights a week for me), my skin always feels smoother when I rinse it and my serums do work better.

Re: QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

To be honest I have no idea when I noticed how much my pores were reduced.

I bought my first Mia about 5 years ago. And I bought another one about 2 years ago. Because I never wanted to be without one. I notice a big difference in my skin if I don't use the Clarisonic. They are both going strong. Well worth the investment.

Re: QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

I think I must have the same Clarisonic that @millieshops has. It’s one of the first ones QVC sold and predates the Mia. I always remove my makeup with Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple without the Clarisonic. I use my Clarisonic in the morning with Philosophy’s Exfoliating Lotion. I’ve followed this routine for years and my skin’s pretty clear for a 64 year old gal. I don’t have a very complicated beauty regimen, but I can’t imagine going without my Clarisonic. I also bought the recent TSV as a backup.

Re: QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME CLARISONIC USERS

I have been using a Clarisonic for probably 15 year but I don't have a pore issue. It does remove makeup better than manual cleansing as you have heard over and over. I would think that you would need some type of serum to actually reduce the size of your pores.
