I got a few emails from Puritan's Pride Vitamins in regards to various sales they have. In light of the fact that many supplements have come under scrutiny lately I'm reluctant to order. Has anyone had any experience with this brand as far as quality, service, shipping etc? Any opinions or recommendations on this company? TIA

Ive ordered with Puritans Pride. They have great vitamins and the customer service is excellent.

I order practically all our supplements from them. You can't beat the deals --- such as buy 2 get 3 free. Or buy 1 get 2 free. They are very quick in delivery and free S&H. I have never heard anything bad about them. And as far as I am concerned, I think they are a great company.

Off hand, I know nothing bad about Puritan's Pride. My only recommendation would be to do your homework. Compare the ingredient, delivery method, and serving sizes, and see what works out best for you. I ordered from Puritan's Pride years ago, now I regularly buy from Vitacost. Unless it's a softgel, I always look for a capsule that is comparable to Lessman's. I haven't been disappointed. I get my dog's supplements and Mad Hippie products from Vitacost, too, and have been able to set up Auto Ship plans so we don't run out.

I used to order from Puritan's Pride. A few years ago I saw a report that said that Puritan's Pride vitamins and supplements were exactly what they said they were.

I order quite often from PP for the last 8 years, have had no issues, my DH and I take lots of supplements.

I agree with NickNack. We must have seen the same reports. I am VERY particular about my supplements and while I don't order many from Puritan's Pride, they are one of the more reputable brands. I also recommend Jarrow brand. High quality.

Years ago I ordered from PP. Several years ago I found Nature's Sunshine Products. The quality is amazing, doing many quality tests on each product they offer (and that is over 600 products). I want the purest elements in each supplement I put in my body. You may want to check this out.

Thank you all for your comments. I think I will give PP a try. My husband and I have seen a nutritionist who recommended several supplements for each us. I looked around but she had some specifics as to formulations and PP had some well priced choices.
One thing I will mention is that we've always taken the basics, Multi, Vit D, Vit c, Fish oil. I didn't know that some of the medications I take either leach excess nutrients from me or else some in common formulations are unable to be absorbed by my body. It was very enlightening. I suggest that anyone who is on multiple medications for chronic diseases check with their Dr. to check nutrition levels. I was suffering from multiple deficiencies.

this is the only place I get our supplements from, never a problem and our family doctor says they are good. CS is also very good plus quick service.
